I NEVER leave reviews but this product is spectacularly terrible, I felt obligated. I installed it today and already have a problem. I didnt even make it a month or weeks but day 1! Lets start with the install. Installing it is relatively easy. Insert latch, attach outside knob, attach inside knob, connect wires, install batteries, boom! Ill give it that. But there WAS a problem. I installed this on a standard US door thickness that goes to my office. The 2 black screws that come with this that hold the two knobs together thru the latch ARE TOO LONG!!! So the knob was loose and not snug against the door on either side. Bcuz they literally couldnt screw in far enough. It felt terrible and cheap like it was going to fall off. Which then led me down an adventure of trying to cut the screws but I bent them while doing so so I had to replace them with other knob screws I happened to have around the house. But the two holes on this knob are smaller than standard. So I luckily happened to have some that fit right for it...kinda. Well I had to make em' fit but they fit i guess. So now that the knob is installed, guess who got locked out of their room today. That's right. ME! I programmed and tested the fingerprint reader a thousand times. Opening and closing the door throughout the day making sure it worked. Later tonight, not long before I wrote this review I had an emergency and had to leave. I didnt think about the door or grabbing the backup keys bcuz again used it all day. And you know emergency and all that. Well when I came back, guess what didnt want to let me in. Now to be fair, it recognized my fingerprint and I could hit unlock from the app but every time I went to turn the knob, it did not open. I almost took a saw to it but miraculously after my 100th attempt on it right b4 I cut it open, it opened. Suffice to say, it is now off but I may be past the return period as I bought this a while ago to install it on my office door in my new house that I knew I was going to be moving into. So I will be getting another brand but wanted to share my awful experience with this lock. Also third but not least, the app is very basic. I have an ultraloq on my bedroom door and front door and they can do almost anything you need a smart knob to do from the app. The only reason I didnt get one now is because I wanted to try something different. And now I know why ppl stick with what they know. Also the bluetooth keeps disconnecting so if I need to open it real quick if I have a visitor, I have to open the app, connect via BT which it may not even connect to bcuz im across the room and the BT doesnt reach. I'm not mad, just disappointed.

I’ve been using this fingerprint doorknob for a few months, and overall, it’s a great upgrade for home security and convenience. The fingerprint sensor is responsive and unlocks the door in under a second. I especially like being able to store multiple fingerprints, which makes it easy for family members to access the house without needing keys.

The smart door lock for outside doors is the best I have seen. You have many features. You can unlock it using key codes/passcode numbers (which can be set up for a limited time to allow a worker to enter during that time). You can have up to 20 of these. It can also be operated by up to 18 different fingerprints. You also have an option to use a key. It is not easy for me to open the concealed key feature. But the option is there. But the best feature is the ability to activate the lock via its app. You can be notified via the app when the door is unlocked, for example, and even set a notification alarm on your phone when the door is unlocked. I had a few minor issues. While the kit includes all necessary hardware, I wish that the kit also included a long, thin screwdriver. It takes patience to install if your door (like mine) is not cut properly already. Be sure that you have enough clearance between the door and the screen door. This was a problem for me. Also, be sure to keep in mind that the specifications show its working temperature between 23 degrees Fahrenheit and 131. Those living in areas of deep cold beware.

This is my 3rd and hopefully final smart door knob lock. My previous two were other brands and even though the door knob turned to open the door there was always something wrong with using the smart features. This 4 n 1 door knob lock is just what I needed. Its stylish and was super easy to install ( I became pretty good at installing door locks with my previous ones). Unlike my previous locks, the features on this lock all work. The fingerprint, the app lock and unlock feature, the hidden key hole with key works and the passcode works! IM still trying to learn the lock on the app and have been talking with customer support about a few kinks. Maybe IM app illiterate, however I cant seem to get the AUTO LOCK feature to stay unlocked. I have tried two different ways to keep it unlocked. I don't like my door auto locking, I need to do that manually as I get a lot of deliveries through out the day and cant have my door auto lock. It seems after I unlock my door, the auto lock feature deactivates and defaults to auto lock- EVEN though this feature is turned off. Now if I don't lock my door knob the auto lock features stay off. It only auto locks after I unlock my locked door. Other than that, the app can remotely lock or unlock the gate at a distance of 32 ft. HOWEVER it will not work if there is a wall or anything blocking the app from the lock at 32ft. I have to stand and see the lock before it can work. The seller is working on getting a Gateway to add on, so hopefully Ill be able to Lock/Unlock remotely from anywhere! Disclaimer: **** I know, I know, this might sound very confusing as I never thought I would say the work lock this many times, IM even kinda confused when I type this, BUT I hope some of you can follow along*****

This is a really nice door knob, like super nice. Great quality, everything works awesome. The main con is that anyone with a credit card can break in🤦‍♀️ My bf did a whole demonstration and everything when I showed him the fancy lock I got for us. I only got this so I would feel safe at night since we have roommates who bring over guests. Now I have to hope they don't have any cards on them😭

It took me 30 minutes to install 2 of these locks and I don't consider myself handy at all, so if you know how to operate a screwdriver you should be able to do it too without any hassle. What you will need are actually 2 different Philips screwdrivers: one with the regular head size and one smaller, as well as 4 pcs. of AAA batteries. There was also no issue at all in adding both locks to the GoSund app. It took me a moment to find the Settings section in the app on Android because you simply need to scroll down the screen to see the other tabs in the menu, which are hidden by some other stuff. The locks operate as expected and the fingerprint reader is quite reliable. From my experience you need to press it for about a second, so don't remove your finger immediately, because it may not be able to read it. I also connected both locks to GoSund Mini BLE Gateway, which makes it possible to operate the locks via WiFi from anywhere in the world, so you can unlock the door for somebody who doesn't have a key set, or just check the logs of who was getting in and out and at what time. Nice! What I also like about this lock is that you don't need to dismantle it completely to change the batteries as it's enough just to remove a single screw and put the batteries inside, which anybody can do in 30 seconds. In conclusion, based on my initial experience I can recommend this device if you like to have smart functionality for your doors. What I would put on my wishlist for the manufacturer are the following: - better marking of the "+" and "-" for the battery chambers, maybe with some white stickers, so they would be easier to see, - NFC functionality, a mobile phone would become your key, and the lock would recognize you when you are nearby and unlock the door without the need to even touch it, which could be a big advantage if you carry some stuff, or if the weather requires you to wear gloves.

This is perfect for our PPE room at the fire department. It keeps unauthorized person out and allows us to monitor activity in and out of the door.

Doorknob worked for 4 months and then failed

This is a fairly decent keyless entry door lock that appears well constructed and offers multiple ways of unlocking the door (fingerprints, passcodes, BT/proximity, and traditional keys of course) along with some extra features (auto lock, passage mode, user management, and logging etc) that further improves its usability. This particular door lock does require an App (Gosund) to function and none of the features and/or management tasks such as fingerprint and passcode setup can be done directly from the lock itself. As such, the app is NOT optional at all (unlike a few others that I've come across which don't have this particular limitation) so just keep this in mind. ≡ Note I personally feel that this has gotten out of control now nearly EVERY single piece of electronics will require an app if it's possible to do so and nearly ALL of these of apps require personally identifiable and sensitive info such as phone number, email address, country/region just to name a few, in order to fully USE a product that I've ALREADY PAID FOR. The more I think about it, the more absurd it is to me and while the vast majority of people don't care about this for a number of reasons, I still believe this shouldn't be the case and I do what I think make sense at any given situation (and I do have quite a few of these apps/products) but this is NOT one of those situations where I'm willing sell out. However, that's just me. ### The installation itself though straightforward similar to most other such keyless entry locks out there. The passcodes and the fingerprint setup is no different than most others out there and requires no detail discussion. The battery (4x AA) is located (for obvious reasons) in the interior assembly along with IC wire port, reset button, and toggle button. The interior assembly does feel (although not necessarily look) cheap as it's mostly plastic but that doesn't bother me much. In the event that you need to reset the lock for whatever reason (e.g. forgotten codes), the lock can be reverted back to the default via the app. If and when the battery dies prematurely, it can be powered using USB-C (from the exterior door knob) to gain access to the lock. Of course, this assumes you will have access to such setup (i.e. power source/bank with USB-C) in the first place. Furthermore, it also has additional features such as lock protection, auto lock, passage mode, and anti-peep code etc that I won't go into details about those since they are pretty self-explanatory and they are identical to all others; however, I'll say that the passage mode is primarily used for business where the door should remain open during a preset day/time (i.e. open during business hours). Suffice to say that they greatly increase the overall usability of this lock and I'm certainly glad they are available especially for the vacation mode. ≡ Value All things considered, this is a decent keyless entry door lock that's well made and works just fine without any issues; however, I'm not particularly thrilled about the fact that I'll need to provide my phone number or email address in addition to country/region in order to fully use a product which I've already PAID in FULL. When I buy a stove, I expect to use it without having to providing any other personal info because that'll be completely ludicrous and preposterous to me. It's somewhat reasonably priced at $130 for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. There are certainly quite a few other options and/or alternatives out there if you care to shop around. Your mileage might vary.
