This is a great product to use as a kibble topper. The dogs love it and have no issues with digestion. One-ingredient, no issues whatsoever.

My 5 month old Miniature Australian Shepherd absolutely loves these. I do a wide variety of training with her including agility, Frisbee, basic obedience, and more complex tricks that really require her attention. She is high energy and craves the mental stimulation. I always keep treats within close range for those unexpected training opportunities as well as the planned sessions. When she was very young (six weeks to around 3 months old), I used her kibble as treats. It was all I needed to keep her focused. As time went on, it got harder. I think she realized that she was basically working for free 🤣. So I began experimenting with different treats. There is such a wide variety of treats available! Crunchy, soft, raw, freeze dried, salmon, chicken, beef, etc etc ETC! I'm obsessed with my dog, so naturally, I bought several different types. Unfortunately, my dog won't fill out the survey cards I gave her requesting her to rate the treats. 🙂🙃 All I can do is take note of how she responds to them and how well they hold her attention. She has never turned down a treat, no matter which kind I gave her. When faced with a distraction, such as a barking dog in a backyard while we are working on lose leash walking, she lost focus on me for around the same amount of time regardless of the type of treat. Then I gave these a try. Honestly, they sounded disgusting and I was slightly repulsed by "beef liver." Yes, I'm a wuss 😋. However, when I saw her eat a dead bird, I realized, maybe she has a different palette than I do and it's ok to offer her something that I don't necessarily like. Her response to these treats compared to others is dramatic. The first time I used them was while I was using a blower to dry her after a bath. Her normal reaction: kill the blowing air and everything associated with it. Lots of barking and jumping to bite the drier. Her tolerance was ok with the other treats. I could get maybe 5 to 10 seconds at a time of blowing her hair. But with these treats, she gives me a solid minute. That's a huge improvement. The stress level is way down. I can actually see her processing the decision. "Blower=must die. But those treats=must get. This woman gives me treats when I let her blow my hair...ok...worth it." In fact, she has calmed down so much, I see her beginning to realize that the blower kind of feels good. Next test: lose leash walking 😱 I'm not going to sugar coat it and say she's now a perfect little lady regardless of what we may encounter on our walks. Still reactive? Yes. However, the amount of time it takes for her to remember that I'm on the other end of the leash has decreased substantially. Progress, not perfection. The only "cons" that I've come across with these treats is their size and difficulty breaking them. When teaching a new trick/behavior, frequent treat rewards are VERY important. These treats are a little large for the rate I reward in some situations. I tried breaking them without any luck. However, I will still buy them again especially because she hasn't had any stomach issues after getting quite a few in a short period of time. Bottom line: these treats are the currency your dog will be willing to work for. All you need to be is patient and consistent. 🙂

Freeze-dried beef liver is one of the only treats my anxious dog will accept outside where distractions are a bit too much for him. This brand is the cheapest I have found, and I am so glad I did. I will keep buying these for as long as I can! We've gone through two bags already in 4 months - he's a tiny guy so I cut the pieces into smaller treats, so it lasts us a while. But he loves them!

From food to treats to chews to toys and every other dog associated product, the prices are so outrageous. Dog food costs more than baby food now. I’ve never met a dog who doesn’t love the 100% freeze dried organ animal products and they are wildly expensive. Great as training treats and for topping off their meals to make them more appetizing. These are the best option I’ve come across for the freeze dried liver. even the most reasonably priced Amazon brand version is more expensive. There isn’t a dog anywhere who doesn’t love these.

My two little girls LOVE these!! The only complaint: the size. My girls weigh 4lbs each, and they've choked on these twice. They're very hard, too. Since they choked, I started popping the treats in half.

The only dog treat I will use. Tiny treat, one ingredient, made in Ontario. Perfect for my 70 lb. golden retriever. He loves them and they are healthy and easy to carry on walks and in training.

These are a huge hit on our house! My dog loves him, and I love that they are made with just one ingredient. They’re the perfect size for treats or training, and the quality is excellent. Highly recommend!

Update: These are made in the US as well as Canada with workers from the US as well as ours. Their ‘made in Canada’ label replete with the Maple Leaf is misleading but accurate. It means the last substantial transformation of the product happened in Canada and not that the product is 100% Canadian. I won’t be buying them again. These are made in Canada by a family owned business and my research showed they are comparable in quality to Pure Bits freeze dried raw liver, which are used in veterinary clinics and I have also used for many years. They are also more cost effective and the liver comes from North American sources. Bure Bites liver comes from US sources. The difference is that the Caledon farms puree their liver into a slurry, dry it then dice it into uniform pieces that are lighter and more uniform in texture. Senior dogs with missing or old teeth find them easier to chew. Both products are superior, high nutrient snacks for dogs. For mine, it comes down to preference. Mine definitely prefer the Pure Bites and I have no idea why. Faced with the two choices on a plate they will go for the pure bites first. I have decided to go with the Canadian made product regardless. (see update above) They like them well enough and enjoy them. The problem is I was promised next day delivery and while my Pure Bites seller delivered as promised, the Calendon Farms product seller did not. If it happens again, I’ll be going with Pure Bites from now on.
