Unfortunately, it loses a star as the welding for the handles is a little out of line. Ultimately it doesn't affect the product but it does mean hand grip is not in a 'true' neutral grip as advertised. That's why I've dropped a star. We do love our bar, though. **Q: This is a gift. Which 25 lb. olympic plates are recommended for this?** A: I would recommend 2” bumper plates for this bar. I use mine in the garage on concrete, the bumper plates prevent me from messing up the concrete when I lower it to the ground. **Q: Picture shows 24.61" front to back width and description says 25" between grip handles, is this accurate?
