We have an open plan kitchen that leads into a conservatory. The conservatory "L" shaped and large and as with most conservatories, when it's sunny, it's hot and needs cooling down with a large fan and open doors, but when the sun goes down, the temperature drops. We have a sofa and TV in there and on these spring/summer nights it becomes a little bit too cold to enjoy the space, but not cold enough for the central heating to kick in as the rest of the house is warm. So, I needed a compact little heater that was powerful enough to heat this space without taking up too much floor space. Dreo to the rescue! I already have a Dreo tower fan, which I was very impressed with, so I had confidence in the brand. I am not disappointed. It arrived last night and I was impressed with the compact size. It's no bigger than a kettle. I was able to put it in one of the empty storage spaces on our TV unit (pulling it out for use when needed). I sat in there last night with this running on eco mode and within 30 minutes I was actually too hot! I turned it off for a bit and then later on when the temperature really started to drop I put it on high heat for about 30 mins. It really does work well. The fan is pretty quiet and I often found myself having to put my hand in front of it to check it was on because I couldn't hear it. Another great thing is that it comes with a remote control so I was able to relax with a cat sat on my lap and not have to get up to change any settings. All the functions are available from the remote and it is clear and easy to use. I also did a bit of research into the costs of running this and for my needs (1-2hrs) in the evening, it works out at about 90p an hour at the most (if it was on full whack the entire time). I think that's pretty good for a warm room without firing up the heating.

I bought this after seeing the reviews. My bedroom is the hottest in the summer and coldest in the winter months. Even on a high setting my radiator struggles to generate warmth in the room. However, this little beaut does it in seconds like no other convection or fan heater I've ever had. It's so neat and stylish. It's lightweight but really packs a heavyweight punch in its heating capability and efficiency. Even on its low setting it's heats up space quickly and maintains good all round room temperature. Can barely hear it when it's on. Functionailty wise it comes with remote to turn it on/off and set temperatures/timings which is very handy if your away from the unit e.g. in bed 😊 The heat settings functions are really easy to understand and use. Little design features that make it easy to pick up and move around make a big difference too. The price is very good for what you get. It's low on energy consumption so you don't see your energy costs ballooning. I no longer dread cold periods, especially when the central heating goes off. Great buy! Thoroughly recommend it.

I’ve been using the Dreo Atom 316 1500W Electric Heater for a few weeks now and I’m really happy with it. First of all, it heats up very quickly. Within a few minutes the room already feels noticeably warmer. I originally bought this Dreo 1500W Atom 316 Space Heater for the smallest room in my flat, thinking it would just provide a bit of supplemental warmth. I already own two oil-filled radiators that really pack a punch, so I didn’t expect this compact heater to compete. I was wrong. For such a small, sleek unit, this heater produces an impressive amount of heat. It warms up the room quickly and efficiently, and before long I found myself using it throughout the entire flat. It has genuinely replaced my larger oil heaters as my main heat source. One of the biggest surprises was how quiet it is. I expected some noticeable fan noise, but it runs very quietly, which makes it perfect for bedrooms or while watching TV. The remote control is also incredibly convenient, being able to adjust settings without getting up is a small feature that makes a big difference. Another major plus: it doesn’t retain heat like oil heaters do. Once you turn it off, it cools down quickly, so you can safely move it out of the way almost immediately. That’s something I definitely can’t do with my oil-filled radiators. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised. Compact, powerful, quiet, and practical. I would absolutely recommend this heater.

Being warm is a necessity, especially in the spaces you sleep in; so I did my research when replacing my loud and cheap fan heater. This device has top marks all around. It is very quiet; not silent but not disturbing at all. On the lowest setting, it warms up a modest size room very quickly. Placed on the floor, the heat gets to all corners of the room very quickly. Love the timer feature, as I can pop it on for an hour on the lowest setting and forget about it. An hour is usually perfect for heating up the room comfortably. Considering how quickly and efficiently it performs, I would consider this better value for money over gas mains heating. You can also turn off the operating/button sounds, which makes the experience much more pleasant. (I can't stand beeps and shrieks). Not to mention, it's stylish and unassuming, blending in as just another modern device such as a speaker etc. Worth the investment over the £10/15 conventional fan heaters. There is a version available with a remote, that costs more. However, if you are able to place this in an accessible location, the extra cost for the remote is unnecessary. 8-month update Still loving this product. It isn't a heater you want to keep running all day or night. That will be costly. But if you need immediate heat and can keep the space insulated; this is perfect. During winter, I have put it on the medium setting for an hour, moved it closer to me, and it's ideal. Much better than waiting for an oil heater to heat up.

I have been using it since January (for 4 months now). It has been working very well. It was quite useful during winter time to heat up my bedroom which didn't have any radiators. It is nice that you can turn off the lights but it still keeps working. Works efficiently and quietly. Warms up a small-medium room in 3-4 mins. It is small but quite useful, it's also easy to put it away when you are done using. Given that I have been suing it for months, pretty much every night, and it's still in very good shape, I'd say it is quite durable. It has a small controller which I keep by my bed, if I want to adjust it I just use it. My electricity bill has been OK as well, it doesn't use much energy. (maybe it could reflect if I was using it all day long). Overall great value item.

Me ha sorprendido muchísimo la potencia que tiene para lo compacto que es. Calienta una habitación pequeña o el baño en cuestión de minutos sin problema. El diseño es moderno y no ocupa apenas espacio, por lo que es muy fácil de mover de una estancia a otra. Además, es bastante más silencioso que otros calefactores de aire que he tenido. Muy recomendable.

Schöner Heizlüfter, der einen hochwertigen Eindruck macht und schnell eine angenehme Wärme in den Raum pustet. Qualitätsanmutung: Wirkt super, auch wenn es natürlich ein Plastikgerät ist. Es sieht modisch aus und passt, wenn man die entsprechende Farbe wählt, zur Einrichtung. Es klappert nichts und macht den Eindruck, als würde es viele Winter überleben. Beim ersten Betrieb riecht das Gerät noch nach Fabrik, aber das lässt sich meistens nicht vermeiden. Einfach mal eine Stunde im Flur oder an einem offenen Fenster laufen lassen, dann ist alles fertig "eingebrannt". Lautstärke: Ist angenehm leise, aber man hört ihn natürlich schon. Da man ihn sowieso nicht im Dauerbetrieb haben sollte, ist das aber absolut angemessen. Es klappert auch nichts, sondern es gibt nur ein beruhigendes, dunkles Rauschen. Auf Stufe 1 und 2 ist jedoch ein Summen zu hören, irgendeine Resonanz eventuell. Ist zwar dennoch leiser als Stufe 3, aber zu dem leiseren Rauschen kommt dann eben ein leises, tiefes Pfeifgeräusch oder sowas. Wer sich daran stört und daneben schläft, könnte sich darüber aufregen, aber ein Fernseher und soziemlich alles andere übertönt das Summen schon. Stufe 3 ist meinem Gehör nach völlig "summfrei". Wärmeentwicklung: Die drei Stufen haben offenbar 1000W, 1300W und 1500W. Auch der Lüfter arbeitet je nach Stufe etwas stärker. Die Luft ist nach wenigen Sekunden schon superwarm, sehr angenehmes Gefühl. Ich nutze es in einem Raum von ca. 20qm. Auch bei der Größe merkt man, dass er sich einigermaßen zügig aufwärmt, aber primär ist es eine Komfortsache. Wenn der Raum sehr ausgekühlt ist, bringt der Dreo zusammen mit der Zentralheizung alles wesentlich schneller auf Temperatur und der Platz, wo man sitzt, ist sofort richtig warm. Ab da kann man ihn ja wieder ausschalten und die reguläre Heizung den Job erledigen lassen. Ist mir lieber, als ggf. 2 Stunden zu warten, bis alles warm ist, wenn man mal 1-2 Tage weg war. Das Gerät hat mich auch schon gerettet bei einem eintägigen Heizungsausfall. Hat man einen größeren Raum, vielleicht ab so 25qm oder etwas höhere Decken, würde ich das nächststärkere Modell mit 1800W empfehlen, welches sich auch dreht beim Heizen. Besonders wenn man Platz hat, lohnt sich das Upgrade sicher. Für kleinere bis mittlere Räume reicht dieser mit 1500W aber absolut aus. Auch Badezimmer sind extrem schnell aufgeheizt damit. Echt hübsches, kompaktes Teil!
