Review: Keeping Monarchs Safe - This little cage helped us release 19 Monarchs so far. We prefer to use it sideways to accommodate more cats and find they have enough room to climb and "J" when they're ready. We put down paper towels to easily clean up after them (iykyk) and branches and create little walkways with sticks but typically have no more than 6 at a time inside. It's a sturdy cage and we've recommended this to friends who recently purchased after we gifted them a few caterpillars and milkweed. What a great learning experience for kids and adults! So far, we were even able to set up a little camera inside to catch one emerging!

love this... gave to a friend's son as a gift .. he loved it & got one for myself....wish i had another one for different ages of caterpillars.. ..zipper made it easy to use & store, nice & tall for plants! great project for grownups & kids... in one month had 30 monarchs hatch & opened each day for some to fly away...NOTE you need to have enough milkweed growing around to harvest daily .... they eat a lot & poo a lot too!!! must keep bottom of cage clean or they get sick! put cardboard or tray on bottom to dump daily & put fresh stems in vase of water inside cage!
