I play pickleball 5-6 times a week and occasionally have wrist or knee strains from it. At times, I really needed an ice pack but it’s not practical due to it not retaining its cold in just a short amount of time. I saw an ad for this Therabody Recovery Therm Cube and it was exactly what I was looking for. It’s tiny, fits in my bag, runs either hot, cold or both and runs for a long time per charge. I just use it for spot treatment at the moment but appreciate the included straps in case I need to wrap an area. I don’t have an issue using it on joint areas like other reviews…not sure why they say it’s difficult, but ok. It’s not cheap but it looks like it’s well made and I have high hopes it will last for years. I highly recommend!

I received this literally an hour ago and am already compelled to tell people about it. Its fantastic. While the surface area may be smaller than some other options, it does work quite well. Best part being the contrast mode of alternating heat and cold. This is a fantastic feature and is already helping with my aches and pains. It also makes it convenient to not have to switch anything out and let the heat / cold alternate.The one downside. The fan is loud af. It's like having a 120mm computer case fan strapped to your shoulder so you'll need some noise canceling something if you want to be able to focus with this thing in operation. I think the fans are required because they've used a Peltier TEG (thermoelectric generator) to be able to produce both heat and cold. They need the fan to maintain the heat differential from each side of the plate.

super interesting and cool product. works well, gets cold quick, gets hot quick. Only thing preventing a 5 star is it's good for maybe 3-4 FULL sessions then you have to charge it (if you use it on high), but that's still pretty efficient considering how much power it exerts. Definitely recommend it for ease of use and convenience.

I have many gadgets and tools for muscle recovery. I’m most impressed with this machine out of all of them and makes me excited on what’s to come in the future.The contrast therapy to me is just incredible. It gets very cold and hot but tolerable at both temperatures. I’ve only used a few times so far but I really think this is the most effective machine I’ve tried. I recently sprained my ankle and using the contrast therapy it noticeably feels better right after use. I also have a bit of arthritis in my shoulder and this can target and help ease the pain/soreness associated with that.Very easy to use and a bit pricey but I think it’s worth it so far. Hopefully I can count on this lasting years.

I wanted to try this unit out to eliminate the need for ice and a heat pad. Overall, it works fine, but for a small contact area. Overall quality feels high. The plastics is solid and not cheap feeling. Becuase it is kinda bulky, will not fit on surface that isn't "flat." I do wish there was more flexibility in the heating levels. It goes from kinda hot to too hot. That said, this is a great step forward for an all-in-one solution to heat/cooling. Hopefully, the battery will keep the charge overall time.

This device is easy to use. Provides pain relief. It’s a great value for your money. It is not heavy and is great quality. I was a little hesitant on buying it because the part that touches your skin is blue. The acceleration of the temperature changes (hot/cold) is quick enabling you to easily switch between hot and cold and get instant changes in temperature makes this a must have in your home.

It does cool and hear.But unit is very noisy - not suitable for quiet environments. And the cooling/heating plate is actually only about 2" by 2.4", so it doesn't work on larger body areas like a foot.

I was a tad skeptical that this would actual do the trick. I am about to have, yet another surgery, so I thought why not. I kind of suck at keeping ice on my areas because they don’t last long. As soon as I took it out of the box and turned the cold on, it was wonderful; just right. In a matter of seconds it will heat it up too. Call me completely impressed! Saves me pain on getting up and down. The fan is very quiet. The only downside I see so far, is the straps if you are a bigger person. I have not yet seen how long it lasts. Either way it is a major improvement from heating pads and ice packets.

Fan ruins it. It always blows and can’t be turned off. Honestly - go and spend a couple of hundred on those single use heat packs if you want something portable…or an old school hot water bottle or heat bag. I tried to like it. Avoid. Heat patch is less than 5x5cm.
