I was cautious at first when using this device, but it worked great and surprised me. It was easy to snap onto my safety rope and went up and grabbed on and locked into place quick and easy. I was tired and had a lot of work so once it was in place I was set and even though I tested it a few times just to make sure it was secure I was happy with it's performance. This worked much better than I expected. Note- I used 8mm and 10mm ropes and this worked well, bigger did seem stronger.

Made it up the rope even wearing tennis shoes. Boots are definitely recommended.

For the price im happy works as advertised .. im 190lbs no problems using it im also 64 years old and it was very easy to use ... if I was younger I would invest in the more expensive gear like a zig zag .. ill never wear this out in my lifetime. Note ... if I do ill come back and update the review. F Photo show me using the ascender. With a harness and a foot ascender and 2 pullys at my age I dont have the arm strength to pull myself up without the pullys. I strongly recommend a hand ascender too ... I dont have one yet but I have ordered one

Ive used it on practice ropes at my house. It works great. I attach it to my belay loop and chest rig (a sling loop) with carabiners and it holds perfectly while using hand ascending devices

It's been years since I bought this and it holds and functions great. Very easy to use and have never had it slip. Definitely great quality and worthy buy.

Made a knee ascender with this and a foot loop. It works well and seems high quality.

While this fall arrester works in general, it also damaged my rope. The sharp metal teeth on the cam are angled down for better hold, but once they engage the rope, they also make hard to free up the rope. Once disengaged, the teeth got caught on some the strands and damaged my rope.

Von der optischen Verarbeitung ist die Bruststeigklemmer soweit in Ordnung. Materialstärke super und wenn die Funktion Aufstieg mit der Bruststeigklemme ausgeführt wird, läuft alles eigentlich prima. Gleitet gut durch, greift gut im Seil. NUR, wenn man die Bruststeigklemme aus dem Seil nehmen möchte, verbeißt sich am beginn des Klemmbocks von oben gesehen in das Seil so, dass es beim entnehmen die einzelnen Fäden aus dem Seil zieht! Das ist echt suboptimal und bei allen anderen Geräten, die mit ähnlichen Klemmböcken arbeiten (ASCENSION, ASAP-Lock, Micro-Traxion udgl.) mir bisher noch nicht passiert. Ich vermute, dass die Dornen im Klemmbock in der Spitze leicht verbogen sind. Ob gewollt ab Werk oder ein Fehler ist mir eigentlich egal. Return-to-sender! Ich hab mir für nicht viel mehr nun ein Petzl Croll S nachgeordert.
