Kit provides everything you need – reasonably clear instructions – certainly a good diagram of the required colour order of wires. Comes with plenty of RJ45 plugs and plug covers, also a wire stripper.The slowest part of the process is getting all the wires in the right order ready to insert into the plug, bit once this is done correctly the crimper completes the job flawlessly. Once the wires are aligned nicely they slide into the plug with some excess poking through at the end. These excess lengths of wire are trimmed off as part of the crimping process. I had previously put-off messing with Ethernet cables which I suspected had slightly dodgy plugs attached, but with this tool it was easy to go round and re-plug any suspicious cables with high confidence in the connection. Typically waggling cables near the plug connection caused LED transmission lights on the router/switch to be interrupted if the plugs are not well connected.My only minor criticism would be the instructions could make it clearer which way up to hold the plug for the correct order of strands to be inserted – and also the correct way up for the plug to be inserted into the crimper, but there are YouTube videos that show the tool in use as well.Very handy addition to toolbox. Good value too.

Excellent product. Solid built. After reading the reviews I was a bit dubious as there are a few negatives. I’ve almost used all the supplied plugs and not had a single issue. Yes it’s fiddly to line the cables up in order and put them in the plug but that’s the same no matter what crimper and plugs you buy. It’s a fiddly job. I feel all the negative reviews are human error and not this tool. Is easy and straightforward to use. Highly recommend. Blades are sharp and cuts perfect. Just got to make sure the plug is pushed right into the tool when you cut.

Perfect for DIY cat6 poe.Feels extremely sturdy.Easy to grip and crimp, all accurate crimps.Not one termination had a problem.The yellow cutting tool, you only need one light spin otherwise it tends to cut your core sheeths.Much better than any other rj45 crimping tool I've used in the past.

Simple to use quality as expected and good value

The crimper works great. Cable tester works as expected, note that the required 9v battery is not included.The wire cutter is fairly cheap, it works fine for stripping the outside of ethernet cables, but doesn't work on the small individual wires inside. Would recommend getting another wire stripper separately.

Huge thank you to Gary's review... this wasn't working for me at all but when I removed the cutting blade, the crimper was able to do its job properly.If you're a DIY'er and need a cheap tool for a small job then this one is fine. But as other people have experienced, the crimper might not fully connect the wires because the cutting blade is seated too high. If you've got all the wires the right way and you're not getting a connection then try removing the cutting blade and crimp again. Solved everything for me.If you're a professional and need a reliable tool and robust connectors, buy something else.

These are so much easier than regular connectors. You can double check the wires before you crimp. And you can also pull the wire tightly into the connector before crimping. We use this a lot for being amateurs- probably put on over 50 ends by now…. Still works well. Nice cutters too.

Works well for crimping ethernet, easy to learn to do and the tester makes it so much easier. The crimping tool feels solid and the stripper and cutter work as expected. Overall it’s a convenient tool for ethernet cables especially when needing to crimp a lot.

Very sturdy and easy to use. Included wire stripper works well and the tester is handy. I really like the pass through connectors.
