I think this product gets a somewhat unfair rating because some people may be expecting it to burn like a regular incense stick. It doesn’t. The wood is dense, very hard, and difficult to split, and it does not burn easily on its own.I split several pieces into smaller strips with a hatchet, and the freshly exposed wood was still very fragrant, which impressed me. When placed on a hot charcoal disk, it produces a rich, warm, creamy sandalwood fragrance that is quite pleasant and lasts well.The wood I received is pale, fine-grained, solid, and noticeably hard. Based on the appearance, fragrance, and the way it behaves when heated, I have been very satisfied with it.For best results, I would recommend splitting or shaving off smaller pieces and using them on a charcoal disk rather than trying to light the wood directly.4.5 out of 5 stars. I only deducted half a star because the seller could provide better instructions explaining how the wood is best used.

They didn’t stay lit, even with a torch, and there was absolutely no odor coming from them. Very disappointed

This is not real sandalwood. It’s just wooden sticks soaked in sandalwood-esque juice. They smell nice out of the package but lose their scent rather quickly.

Exactly as pictured & described!

I used this product for last rites, as Hinduism belief that we cremate body with that we put pure holy sandel wood pieces. Smell was good. In picture they are showing no of the woodpieces. accurate no was five pieces. Original if you can afford then whole fire bed make with sandal wood. I was fortunate to find with right price. It is religious beliefs. But I loved the product

Very fragrant and quality. Smells incredible and burns well in an electric burner. Comes with a good amount as well

I tried to burn it and it didn't work. It's a completely smooth stick with no scent. I don't know if I can return it since I opened it. IT'S NOT SUITABLE FOR BURNING. The packaging says it can be used to scent a room like incense, but that’s a lie.

Not sandalwood. These are just normal sticks with some essence smudged over them.

Bought this “sandalwood” expecting mystical temple vibes and inner peace. Instead, I got the scent profile of burning plastic, dead flies, and a small electrical fire behind a kebab shop.Absolutely no trace of real sandalwood — unless the tree died in a tyre factory. Lit one stick and my ancestors immediately filed a noise complaint. Even the spiders moved out.If you’ve ever wondered what sadness mixed with melted Barbie dolls smells like, congratulations, this is the fragrance for you.0/10. Not incense. Chemical warfare.
