Fixed my air mattress.

We’re on week five of using this patch for our bounce house, and it’s been a lifesaver. Our dog tried to join the kids a while back and tore a hole in the slide. I applied this patch right over it, and it has held up perfectly since. The bounce house gets used regularly, so the fact that it’s lasted this long makes me confident it will hold for a good while yet. Side note: the dog is officially banned from bounce-house playtime!

Doesn't work, tried to patch several times and the air kept leaking out

This Thermoplastic Polyurethane repair tape sold by Weishuo provides an easy and convenient way to repair holes in vinyl fabric including inflatables. I have tried other patch kits in the past including H-66 which is a dedicated vinyl glue but requires you to have patching material on hand. This repair tape has a paper backing and can be cut to size from the 7ft x 3.15" (80mm) roll and should be enough to cover most tears or holes. I tried this out on an old River Rat inflatable tube and it provided a good solid repair patch. It's very important to clean the area being patched which can be done with isopropyl alcohol or soapy water. I round off the corners of the patches with scissors to avoid any edges that could catch or start to peel off. As this tape is very sticky, I found it best to leave part of the backing paper attached during application to help locate the patch over the center of the repair area and then start pressing the patch from that point outwards to help eliminate bubbles getting trapped under the tape. It's hard to completely avoid bubbles with this tape and it may also catch some grease from your finger tips if you touch the sticky surface of the tape during application. Overall, as long as you handle the repair carefully, it should provide good results. Time will tell if this tape holds up on our inflatable but it's also worth noting that you'll need to wait the recommended 12 hours before re-inflating which is a little longer than the glue and other patches that I've used. Also, this tape will probably not work great if you have a hole or tear close to a seam or where the surface is uneven. For the current price of $13.99, it is a convenient option and doesn't require any extra glue so I'll give this 4 stars.
