The BESTSELLING book on BEING A TEEN, now updated into an all new edition. In a world where thereโs a lot of talk about โliving your best lifeโ and being your โbest selfโ, The Art of Being a Brilliant Teenager shows you how. The book has a strong academic underpinning (its DNA is taken from the authorโs PhD) but is written in a fun and non-patronising way. The Art of Being a Brilliant Teenager is a book that prepares young people for REAL life; addressing modern issues of screen time and social media, as well as the teenage perennials of confidence, positivity, motivation and relationships. The book is built on a rock-solid foundation of wellbeing and human flourishing but is quirky in tone and entertaining to read. Dr Andy Copeโs words are brilliantly brought to life by award winning illustrator, Amy Bradley. The book includes activities and thought-provoking questions that encourage the user to interact with the material. Reflecting and journalling helps make the messages stick. Learn how to: Stay upbeat in a fast-paced world Be resilient and rise to lifeโs challenges Create strong relationships Tackle anxiety Tap into your values and use them to guide your life Shape your future The book has a deliberately light touch but is not light-weight. It doesnโt dodge the issues. In a world of rising anxiety, The Art of Being a Brilliant Teenager provides a personal upgrade to โworld classโ. It shows young people how to let go of bad habits and develop positive traits that will fire up their future. It covers themes of resilience, values, consumerism, purpose and communication, in a page-turning way. The Art of Being a Brilliant Teenager is THE go-to book to ease young people into adulthood. Review: Wow! Donโt hestitate, just buy it - Itโs not often I will take the time to review things, but I simply had to review this book. The art of being a brilliant teenager is simply one of the best books I have ever picked up and read. We are going through an โinterestingโ phase with our 13 year old son. Fundamentally heโs an amazing kid, but he keeps letting himself down by making silly choices and decisions. We are a very open and honest family who talk about everything, but I canโt help to wonder if he always listens and realises just how amazing he is. We do of course tell him this on a regular basis as he continues to thrive, achieve and grow, but again, itโs hard to know if he truly understands just how in awe of him we are. This book dives into everything from self esteem and self worth, to mental health, schooling and relationships to name a few. There are pages to engage with by filling in self reflection sections, and so much more. I always proof read books before handing them over to check that they will be useful rather than cause any confusion. I have not been able to put it down. Iโve shed tears, laughed and canโt get over how brilliant this book is. Iโm going to leave it on the coffee table as a go to pick up and read out loud often book. Just amazing in every way. Review: Brilliant book - My 11 year old boy loves this book. Heโs in year 6 and I think heโs the perfect age to be reading this. Iโm not sure how interested he would be in a few years.! He enjoys the different chapters, the parts that he has to fill in, itโs easy to read and opens up great conversation for us. He has recommended it to his mates too!
