Typically I use this to marinate chicken for a few hours before cooking it. It gives a delicious, full bodied flavour and seems to result in a more tender chicken. And if you're lucky enough for some to congeal to the rice you get a really strong and umami treat.

Kikkoman do the best Teriyaki sauce I have found. With sesame seeds it makes an excellent 'in the pan' dressing on beefburgers, steak and sausages. I also add a little to spaghetti bolognese in place of Worcester sauce, it does the same job but better.
