Simple Setup, BRIGHT Light, Fully Adjustable
Really love this light because it is a great value and has everything I was seeking in a light. However, depending how you place this light, the control unit may be too close to the water. This was unexpected, because the overall power cord is over 6 feet long. In my case, I have provided a photo showing that with the light mounted to the top of my aquarium canopy, the control unit just barely extends out of the back of my canopy/back of my aquarium. In my case, I think this is just far away from my saltwater to prevent salt creep from forming on the controller. Also, if you use an aquarium canopy designed like mine, then the included brackets to suspend above aquarium will not work. My prior light was already attached to my canopy top, so we tied this light with coated wire to my canopy top's prior light's connectors (eye screws - not anything fancy). Setting the time was pretty straightforward, and the directions warn if you take too long on any particular field it will timeout. I did have that timeout happen to me during initial setup, but it wasn't a big deal to start over that part. I love that my fish only with live rock (FOWLR) saltwater aquarium turns on and off on its own without paying an arm and a leg for traditional saltwater aquarium lighting. When the light is on, at 100% blue and 100% white lights were too strong, too bright for my foxface and copperband butterfly fish hid. I tried bringing the light down to 75% but when I got all the way down to 50% then my copperband butterfly fish came out from hiding. I've also enclosed a photo of my saltwater aquarium. On the clip is some macroalgae for my foxface fish to eat, and having this good lighting designed for plants will help that to grow until my foxface eats it. This is a red gracilaria macroalgae which might be a little tough for my small foxface, but it looks nice and will absorb phosphates and nitrates from the water, should it grow out on the clip. The gracilaria is similar in texture to dragons tongue, but it is supposed to grow faster. I may move my clip further up to the light, esp since my fish hid until I brought the lighting down to just 50% intensity. I don't have space in my under-tank refugium for a planted area, so my clip is my only planted solution (for now). As long as salt creep doesn't form on the control unit, I expect this to last a long time as it is well made. Even if this light doesn't and needs replaced sooner, this light cost just 5% of what I just paid for a replacement light for my other bigger tank, a mixed reef aquarium using AI Hydro 64s... 5% is not a typo - this light from Amazon a GREAT value!! I have been using it a month now and I LOVE IT!! In case Amazon mixes my aquarium light with other similar products, this is my products description: NICREW C10 Plants LED Aquarium Light, 30-36 in, 20Watts, Full Spectrum Fish Tank Light with Timer, Day and Night Cycle, Brightness Adjustable I hope my review helps others

Everything I wanted in an aquarium light.
Edit: I've bought 4 of these now. 2 of the 12-14 for two 2.5 g planted aquariums. Also 24" for a 15g planted shrimp tank. If I get another aquarium going I'm buying another. If I still have your attention here's my review... Long read, awesome product, hope it helps your purchase. So far so good on my 55g. It has a smooth low profile, this thing is awesome. The 15 min ramp up is a slick move I bet my fish appreciate as well. No more dark tank to boom full lights. I set my tank for morning 5:30am and sunset 5:30 pm. The deep blue is awesome and I have the light also set to go 100% off for an hour. By 5:45 am the light is up to 100% of my desired intensity. It's really bright at 100%, I have it at 60% and left the blue night setting at it's default. Night time same deal 5:30 pm the light slowly dimms to the night mode over 15 min. By 5:45 pm night modes look it's so cool too. Nice and dark but a little light to move around, fish seem happy and act normal. I have a somewhat soon to be heavily planted tank, it's got some small plants but will grow to be pretty full when done. My plants are doing well, still young, responding to the light good. I may bump it up to 70% but trying it out slow. I am buying another soon for my other aquarium just have to pace myself haha. I'm still working and cleaning up my setup to how I want it. I haven't noticed any algea spikes or blooms from the light at all. I clean the front and sides of my tank often. I am leaving the back for shrimp and others to munch on while my plants grow up more lol. The durability seems great and the light is solid. I move it around all the time cleaning, adding plants, everything and it hasn't shown any problems. I looked at several lights, didn't want to waste my time or money. This was my choice after looking around and im glad I made it. Follow the guide and dont let the set up timer stop on you for waiting too long. Remember the night setting takes 15 minutes for the transition to complete . I haven't noticed any issues with water or moisture bothering the light yet. I wipe the lens weekly/bi-weekly because I have a little splatter here and there from the tank through my diffuser top. Super easy install 100% recommend.

WOW!! FANTASTIC!!
SUPER BRIGHT!!! I have the C10 48-60" model on a 50 gallon tank.. and WOW! It is blazing bright! Too much in fact, I don't want to blind my fish. The master dimmer (in manual mode) turns all colors down equally, and you can manually switch from day to night if you like. In program mode (daytime).. I found the mix that works for my tank is about 25% white, and 60% blue (red is dimmed with white). First thing I noticed (switching from old 5000K LED tube) is COLOR are better balanced... VIBRANT and ALIVE!! Old light looks yellow and dull in comparison. The pattern is perfect as well, light is evenly spread everywhere. The programming is actually very simple! Hold "settings" button (till flashes).. then toggle thru and set all the settings. When done, hold "settings" button again to SAVE. Real simple! You set the time, sunrise & sunset, moonlight, and time off. Additionally you set the intensity (dimmer) for balance of colors. It's nice because you see it in real time (how it's going to look as you make changes) and DONE. The red is adjusted with the white, but not an issue (plenty of color).. blue is separate. Same ability to mix for "moonlight".. but most will likely just want deep blue. Finally, it turns off completely at time you set as well. It also ramps up and down in 15 minutes which is way more than sufficient. The controller is easy to see, easy to set, easy to use! Note: I had an issue with saving my "sunset" setting, until I found it "overlapped" the shutdown time setting. Once corrected, it programs without issue. Or just use the DEFAULT setting which times are good, just too bright. The nice thing about taming this thing down (to less than full output) is LED's will probably last a long time. I really can't see ever using this at full output. I've read others comment on preferring a controller with full display vs remote control, which I agree with. You can see at a glance all your time settings and dimmer settings.. no guessing. Not only that, but once you set the timing controls, you no longer need to mess with it.. just enjoy! I'm very thrilled with this light and highly recommend it. (my photo is with white 30% and blue 60%)

Nice lights!
I love these lights with the digital timers! I am using them on Orchid terrariums and so far the plants seem very happy! Easy to set up and you can set the brightness and sunset/sunrise. If you are looking get the ones with the digital timer on the cord not the one with the remote. I could not get those to stay set

Like I said, I can see everything now
I think now is nice and clear. You can see all the way to the back of it. How good that was Amazon

I love this light
I’m new to the hobby and this light is easy to use. The things I like you can start and stop on any hour and minute you want. The brightness is adjustable for day and moon. Moonlight is programmed separately, time and brightness. You can turn on day or moon anytime with out disturbing your program. It seamlessly ramps on and transitions down to moonlight and ramps off at night or you can leave moonlight on all night.

Aquarium Light Tuned for Plant Growth
I was previously using a Hygger 978 LED light, which had very limited ability to customize the On\Off times. Very frustrating. The Nicrew C10 light gives you the ability to program the On and Off times to anything you want. The On\Off cycle fades in and fades out simulating dawn and dusk. The color of this light does have a warm tone, and is supposed to be tuned to live plant growth. It has a kind of golden tinge to the light. I like it, and it actually enhances the colors of the fish. The light does have a night light feature, but I won't be using that. I currently have it set for an 8 hour duration (9AM-5PM)

Outstanding and inexpensive
I bought the 12” version because the (more expensive) initial tank light was “programmable”, but not if you wanted to retain the “sunrise/sunset” feature - which I did for stress reduction on the fauna. Further, the more expensive light required an advanced degree to figure out - virtually impossible with NOTHING saved if power lost. This Nicrew, with the small display on the programming block (located inline with the power cord) is EXTREMELY easy to program, with ALL parameters displayed: current time, time on, time off, “moonlight” time off (or none), daylight intensity, and “moonlight” intensity. All saved upon loss of power, including the current time, at least for several seconds, even though the instructions say otherwise (I imagine a sustained power outage would clear the current time, but momentary outages don’t even require resetting the clock, and nothing clears out the programming other than the user). After a few weeks of using the 12” model, I got this one for my 10 gallon tank. Outstanding tank light!

Very Productive
I recently bought this aquarium light with automatic on/off settings, and overall I’m really happy with it. The white light is perfect for daytime—bright enough to make the tank look clear and natural. The blue night light creates a calm, soothing effect and makes the fish look beautiful at night without being too harsh. The auto on/off feature is very convenient because I don’t have to manually switch the light every day. It keeps a consistent day–night cycle for the fish. I do wish it had a few more color options or adjustable brightness, but for the price, it works really well and does exactly what it promises. Great option for anyone looking for a simple, effective aquarium lighting setup

Best Aquarium Light
One of the best UI for an aquarium light with ample modification to suit your needs . Been using it for 1.5 years and still working as intended with no overheating even with splashes of water. No readjustment needed when you unplug except for setting the time. I have ditched my other lights and have purchased more of this for my other tanks.

Buy it-- you won't regret it!
Replaced our standard LED light bar + smart plug because I wanted more automations for our new axolotl (ON morning, BLUE evening, OFF night). I tried an smart LED strip but my stand material isn't ideal for adhesives (and I didn't want to drill holes for screws). Pros: (1) control of day/night/off schedule (2) white/blue light brightness (3) solid construction build Bought the 30-33 inch model for my 28 gallon aquarium (perfect fit). Note: for those complaining about setup & programming, watch the included instructional video for an additional aid (in essence > hold gear icon, +/- to adjust setting, press gear icon to accept).
