Good for GR IV
It’s super sturdy, really convenient, and you can tell it was designed with real users in mind. The triangular anchor didn’t quite fit Ricoh and caused a small scratch, but I don’t mind it. I ended up attaching it together with my wrist strap, and it still works perfectly. I’m really happy with it!

Great plate, okay strap
I generally love Peak Design's products but this might be the first where I initially wondered if it would work for me. Overall I like the concept and have been waiting for a minimal strap like this. The bottom plate is quite good. The magnets, built-in tool, and overall design is well thought out. The only thing I could wish for from this part would have been to make the plate itself Arca-Swiss compatible (though I suppose that would make the plate much fatter than it is), and to improve the tool so you can use it vertically on the long end. It's a bit awkward to use, as the long end is angled, and the short end is a tad too short and it kind of catches on the tripod plate. The thing I found initially disappointing is the strap. At first, I couldn't set it up to where it felt comfortable. I tried setting it at different settings and found on the tight settings, the little plastic stud that secures the strap dug into my finger. Also when trying two finger mode with it somewhat loose, the padding was on the top end by the lug, and the bottom part of the strap had no padding, which dug into my hand. I removed the stud from the padding and adjusted it to be pretty tight, and that seemed to have fixed my comfort issues. This comfort of this strap is probably really dependent on the size of your hand and the location of the camera's eyelet. I bought this to use with my Olympus E-M5 Mark III, and maybe I'll get the L-Plate version for my OM-1.

Great small camera hand strap
This hand strap is beautifully designed and fits the Leica D-Lux 8 perfectly. Provides a secure grip. Base plate is solid.

Do Not buy for Leica M6
It is high quality, but it does not work with my Leica M6. The reason I purchased it is that the M bodies are not very ergonomic. M- cameras screw to put on the baseplate is located on the far right not in the middle like other cameras, so when you use this it sticks out about half an inch and makes holding the camera and look bad.

First Impression - Good but strap is short
UPDATE: Been using this for a while now along with the Camera Capture Clip from Peak. I've found it really convenient for casual and street photography. In addition to the short strap, I also found the built in tool to loosen the base plate is difficult to access on the Zfc with larger lenses or adapters. It really should have been mounted on the back of the plate intead of the front. Again - neither are show stoppers . I also have a Peak Design travel tripod, so just leave the mount attached to the baseplate. Just got this for my Nikon Z fc. I like the setup. Very well designed. Especially the attached tool to loosen the attachment screw. And, as advertised, it is a really convenient way to carry the camera when you're walking around taking random shots. The one issue I have is the length of the strap. If you have larger hands, it's may be a little tight. For the Zfc it makes access to the front control wheel a little awkward. Not a show stopper. Just be nice if it was a bit longer. UPDATE: I moved the attachment plate so it extends about 1/2 inch past the right side of the camera. It now works perfectly and the change doesn't interfere with using/carrying the camera. I use the Z fc for "mobile" photography - street photography, landscapes, people/places/things. and am finding this much more convenient than the standard neck strap.

Worst grip ever
Worst grip I’ve used, first can’t even mount with the capture clip, screw to the max and still lose and will drop. The screw provided has no quality check. Waste of money if you ask me.

Fits my Leica Q. Ditch the neck strap!
This fits my Leica Q and it's exactly the way I wanted to secure my camera. The idea is to keep it low profile and this does exactly that. The strap is made out of sturdy flexible material with soft felt on the side touches the hand. The base is nice and sturdy aluminum with a release key hidden on the side. Pros - slim profile, just what you need to keep the camera in your hand secured. Cons - changing battery is a hassle as you have to unlock the baseplate to do so. Haven't tried the Arca Swiss tripod plate but it's annoying that you have to carry it around separate. If you want all your fingers to be in the strap, this isn't for you. It fits 2 fingers at max, but the strap is adjustable to your needs so maybe 3 is a possibility.

I can see why people return this item
First, Amazon sent me a used item when I paid for a new one. See photos, lol. Second, it is built nicely with what appears to be strong material. Third, it still feels like a product in the R&D testing phase. The small nub that holds the strap down digs into my middle finger, leaving an indent. After a few attempts, the spot became tender and started to ache, prompting me to take my fingers out of the loop to let them rest. If you attach this to a small camera, like a Fuji X100(x) or Ricoh GR series, it might be manageable; however, even on the Nikon ZFC and ZF, it was not feasible. I would recommend opting for an L Grip instead and using a finger strap if extra security is needed. Advice to Peak Design: You should revisit your design process and conduct more field testing. Avoid creating a one-size-fits-all product. Start with specific cameras, such as Fuji, and tailor designs for each model. You would likely achieve better results by doing so.

I've been using the original clutch for years and loved it. Naturally, I had to try the micro clutch for my EM10m4 M43 body, expecting similar results. The first problem I had was that it didn't ease the pressure on the hands at all. I tried a tighter config with 2 fingers in, as well as a looser config with 3 fingers. After shooting for 10 minutes at odd angles, I simply grabbed the camera directly instead of looping through the micro-clutch and it was such a relief! The restrictive design means that the hand can't grab the body as we normally could, causing more stress on the hands and fingers. The second really irritating issue is that it had to have a long base plate that blocks everything below, including the all-important battery and SD card cover flap. Sure they provide a proprietary tool that loosens the plate for us to push aside to access the battery compartment. But with the strap on the tighter end, the battery compartment was still blocked and the only way was to push it to the side by force. The silly proprietary tool may have a magnetic slot, but it is super easy to lose it when fumbling around outside. I've dropped it a couple of times, luckily in an urban environment and not in a forest. It'd be really to lose it when used outside in a forest. The final point is that it adds unnecessary weight with the superfluous base plate stretching across the entire body. I wish it was something like the old clutch with a tiny base plate so that there is some flexibility with hand movement and without blocking the battery compartment.

The PEAK DESIGN I Plate Micro Clutch has become an essential part of my everyday camera setup. I have been using it daily on my rangefinder for more than a year, and it has proven to be both reliable and incredibly practical. The grip adds just enough security without changing the feel or balance of the camera. It makes one handed shooting more confident while keeping the setup compact and discreet, which is exactly what I want for daily use. One of the things I appreciate most is how easy it is to remove and reattach. Whether I need to switch accessories or adjust my setup, the process is quick and hassle free. Nothing feels overengineered, yet everything feels solid and well thought out. After long term use, the build quality still holds up perfectly. It is a smart, minimalist accessory that improves comfort and handling without getting in the way, and it has earned its place on my camera every single day.
