Feels substantially worth the price
Simple to use, I love that it’s not electric. It’s also pleasant to look at. Functional and stylish. Love it

Feels impressive and solid, looks good and works well.
First, I will be upfront that this is my first manual grinder. I have used an electric burr grinder for a while, but it's loud and it takes up a good bit of counter space. Often I am only grinding to brew with an Aeropress, so a manual grinder that does up to 30g of coffee is just what I need.I have looked at what grinders are out there. My impression is that there is a gap - there are lots of $20-$30 grinders that have OK to mixed reviews, and there are $100+ grinders that hardcore coffee geeks are into. And there are a few in the middle, which is where we find the SearchPean S1. While I haven't held any of the high end grinders, I do feel like this is an attempt to bring down the price point of the premium style of grinder, and overall I think it works.FIrst, the construction. It feels appropriately hefty and very solid in the hand. It has nice details that show it is not just built to a price point, but built to be enjoyed. The knurled grip around the main cylinder has a nice texture that is easy to hold. The bottom canister has an inlaid silicone grip ring to keep it stable on a counter. The clear acrylic lid makes it look fancy, although I don't know why I need to see inside it. So it's built to have good aesthetics and feel like solid quality. The main shaft uses ball bearings that offer a smooth turning action. I don't know if they might be affected over time by coffee dust, but in my use the grinding action feels good. Everything is smooth and there is no real play in the shaft from the crank end.The burr end has a nice big wingnut-style tactile adjustment knob. I had read before on burr grinders that the burr should not touch, but the instructions say to set your adjustment by tightening the knob all the way down and then count the clicks backing off tension. This is easy to do. There does feel like there might be a slight bit of play at this end of the shaft, but I didn't notice any inconsistency with grind texture at various settings.Loading the beans is easy - pop off the handle end (it attaches with a nice hex profile) and drop in the beans. The braces that hold the shaft don't get in the way of the beans too much, but if there are any hangups a little shake will send them on down. Pop on the handle and it's time to grind.I've read about some of the cheap grinders taking quite some time to grind coffee. That's not so with this grinder. It doesn't take long at all to process 15-18g of beans (what I usually use).Cleanup is not awful. As with any grinder, coffee dust sticks everywhere it touches, though it comes off easily. I use the brush from my electric grinder to get it all off. It does caution not to use water or any liquid for cleaning, so I hope that it doesn't get gunked up with oils over time. But overall I can have my coffee ground, Aeropress loaded, and grinder cleaned in the time it takes to heat the water.Grind quality seems to be pretty good. I'm not grinding espresso - I experiment mostly in the range of drip coffee to French press coarseness. The coffee looks uniform, of course there are fine grounds but no more than I see with the electric grinder. The taste is great, and it's essentially silent compared to the almost blender-like noise levels of the electric grinder. I think the electric grinder may lose its place on my counter. This hand grinder is fun, almost as fast, more convenient, and isn't going to wake up anyone sleeping. It's become my new routine for fresh ground coffee, and honestly I'm grinding a little more often than I did when I didn't have the hand grinder as an option.

Trabaja muy bien
ES mi primer molino manual así que no tengo una referencia de comparación, pero, de las veces que ya lo he usado, puedo decir que trabaja muy bien, muele muy bien el café, se siente compacto, de muy buenos materiales, gran compra.
