Superb economical butter dish. Yes, airtight! Locks great. Looks great. Very sturdy. Lightweight but heavier bottom. Fits a standard pack of butter.

I like the fact that this has an airtight seal but yet it's still easy to open and close. I also like the clean unfussy design and the fact that the manufacturer gives various (international) examples of butter block sizes so that all customers can get an idea of how their chosen butter product will fit. An added bonus is that it is dishwasher safe. The only downside is the length of the dish. It's unnecessarily long for the standard butter sizes here in the UK, but that's the price you pay for being able to accommodate various butter block sizes (including those long US bars of butter).

Good quality

I bought the 'European' shaped one, that takes a brick shaped block instead of an American style stick. My first impression was that it is too long, so it takes up more space than needed. Then I put a pack of butter in it and found the lid 'just' touches the butter. If they'd just added 3mm to the height it would have been better. As it is, I have to remember to scrape a mm or so off the top of the new brick when I put a fresh one in to stop the lid from being glued down when I next come to use it.

I work out of an office in the basement, with a sink, air fryer, kettle but no fridge. Getting this and using salted butter was a great way of being able to knock buttered toast out on demand without having to worry about the butter going off. Keeps butter fresh for a long time, easy to clean and perfect size

I like the way it is airtight and fairly easy to clean. It states that it is good for Kerry gold butter. Other makes of butter are not the same dimensions, for example, Lidl, and is higher meaning it sticks to the lid.

Even though it won’t take all sizes of butter. It’s long but not large. If in the UK and shop at ASDA, they have their own butter which is a 500g block. I needed this dish the day it was delivered so had to cut up some of the block to put in the dish. I mean, first world problems…I know!! However, it worked, easy to clean and looks good. Lid stays in place and doesn’t fall off.

I like practical kitchen pieces that feel well thought out, and this butter dish fits the bill. We keep it on the counter most days for quick breakfasts; the lid seals tightly so the butter stays soft and protected from dust and fridge odors. The non slip feet are a nice touch;no sliding when I scoop with a knife;and it looks nicer on the table than a plain plastic tub. Cleanup is easy since it’s dishwasher safe. Two small notes: the tray is a bit long and the lid could be a little deeper, so a single 1 lb block of butter doesn’t sit perfectly, but for our household of two adults it holds two standard sticks and works brilliantly. Overall solid build, simple design, and very functional for everyday family use.

I just really like it, way more than I thought I would. I was looking just for an average butter dish and this was much better than I expected. What I originally didn't notice and was pleasantly surprised is that the black ring around the lid is actually a seal which is pretty tight, so it preserves butter much better than I originally thought it would. It has rubber feet which prevents it from sliding on slippery surfaces, like a stone countertop. The measurements are not as visible as they could be, but they are etched, so they would definitely last for the lifetimes of the dish itself. I had mine for about 6 months now and it is just a sold and reliable dish. Didn't scuff from the knife and fits the butter really well. I mainly use regular Kerrygold brick of butter and width-wise it fits snugly, so if there are butter bricks that are wider than this, they might not fit. But length-wise there is still plenty of space. I also periodically wash it in the dishwasher and so far there haven't been any issues you might expect from the dishwasher. It's still as good as the first time I took it out of the box. There is been no cracks and no other types of ware you might expect and the butter stays quite fresh inside. Really nice and solid butter dish that I would recommend.

Received item packaged well in a timely manner. I immediately washed it and put the cream cheese and the butter packages in it to make sure it fit. As the pictures show they fit perfectly, very happy. Also fits in my refrigerator door slot. Have replaced the cream cheese often and it washes up nicely. I hand washed as I needed to replace immediately. Good quality and appearance. Fits a two cube package of butter and 8 ounces of cream cheese. I like the way the top comes off and you can place your knife at the end in an open space not digging out of a tub type of container.

Box was not damaged but the item inside was cracked.
