Review: Great value sunglasses - stylish, comfortable, and durable - I wanted to pick up a decent pair of black sunglasses for the summer last year that wouldn’t break the bank, and after stumbling across these Vans shades they seemed like the obvious choice. They look great, are lightweight, have that classic style, and come from a brand I’ve trusted for years (I used to wear a lot of Vans trainers and clothing back in the 2000s). They fit really well and, most importantly, do an excellent job keeping the sun out of my eyes on bright days, with proper UVA/UVB 400 protection. I’ve had them for two summers now and use them regularly, both when out and about and often for driving, and they’re still as good as new. No scratches, no looseness in the arms, and they’ve held their shape perfectly. For around £10, they’ve been a fantastic buy and will definitely stay my go-to pair for next summer too. Review: Great backup pair for the price! - These sunglasses look very similar, in my opinion although maybe slightly larger, to the considerably expensive Ray Ban Wayfarers. I understand what the other reviewers are saying in regards to build quality. These sunglasses are made from a delicate bakelite type of material, so they ultimately won’t be as robust and durable as more expensive versions. That being said, as long as you keep them in a glasses case after wearing them, and don’t stick them in your back pocket. Then I can’t see any issues arising other than maybe the pins on the arms coming loose. I’ve had these for a few months now with consistent/ish usage and they look identical to when they first arrived. So in conclusion for the low price, I’d definitely recommend them as a cheap interim pair, or a low cost backup.
