Is this mower suitable for thicker grass (eg first post winter cut)?

It depends how long the grass is. Mine was 4-5 inches and a bit wet but it cut it alright on the highest setting. I had cut it until November so it wasn’t too long.

People here seem to be confusing cutting width with blade size. This mower uses an unusual one-sided blade with a counterweight. The cutting width is 42 cms, I believe.

Can i get a spare battery for this model

Yes. I bought one direct from Gtech as the 5 year warranty does not apply to the mower when bought from an Amazon seller.
