Great wee tool for what it is

Does what it says on the tin and just takes away a decent amount of the stress of changing strings on a floyd equipped guitar - wish I’d bought one years ago!

First class bit o'kit and just the thing I needed to assist me in carrying out a full string change on my Harley Benton Strat. First class delivery service as well!

Good build quality but it is too thick for most guitars.

With the protective rubber in place the minimum height of the tremolo above the guitar body has to be 5.5 to 6mm, this is considerably higher than any guitar I've worked on or setup, good sturdy plastic but I'll be removing the rubber to get a workable tool

A very niche product but very useful if you have a Stratocaster and want to set it up with a floating bridge. If you don’t know what a floating bridge is then this product probably isn’t for you. But if you want your Stratocaster to have the Hank B Marvin twang, Like The Shadows, then this simple tool might help. It slips under the tail of the vibrato plate the allow the tension of the springs to be adjusted and strings tuned to the correct tension so that the bridge plate floats off the deck of the guitar thus allowing up as well as down bends with the whammy bar. This item is very good value compared to getting the float being done by a professional plus you get the immense satisfaction that you’ve achieved something many strats don’t have, an ugly fully floating tremolo. Most importantly do find and watch as many YouTube videos as you can on the subject of floating a Stratocaster tremolo before attempting and adjustments to it.
