Signature Fitness Olympic 2-Inch Cast Iron Plate Weight Plate for Strength Training and Weightlifting, Rubber Coate Style, 35LB Set

I purchased this set of weight plates a few days ago, even though they weren’t part of the Black Friday deal. I was drawn to them because they were reasonably priced. While I’ve read reviews on Amazon that focus on the appearance and scent of the plates, those weren’t my primary concerns when choosing weight plates. My top priorities were fitment to my Olympic-size dumbbells and barbells, ease of storage, and the rubber coating to reduce noise and protect my cement floor. The plates arrived today, and I appreciate the young female delivery person who brought them to my doorstep. Despite their total weight of about 35lbs, they were surprisingly heavy considering their packaging in a square shipping box. These weights are practical and won’t win any beauty contests, but that’s precisely why they were designed. They fit perfectly into my Olympic-size dumbbell sets and barbell. While they may not be the visually appealing weight plates you’ll find at Gold’s Gym, they certainly perform the same function.Having trained people, including athletes, for nearly two decades in Southern California, I can confidently say that these weights are as functional and effective as the urethane-coated plates you’ll find at Gold’s Gym.I highly recommend these weight plates.

These are exactly what we wanted to supplement our free weights. They work on Olympic bars beautifully and also as using just in your hand. Very comfortable, very close to exact weight, just a nice product for a home gym! We totally recommend !!!

These had an initial smell, but letting them sit outside for a few days resolved this. These were very clean, and are perfect for getting started with my garage gym. The built in grips are great, very comfortable and clean looking. I would definitely recommend these if the price is right (the price seems to fluctuate on this item).Note: I bought some additional weights which looked identical to this, pairs of 45 lbs plates, but those looked very rough on the edges. This set was very clean and looked new. So definitely good quality here.

I bought two sets of them. They are much better than I expected.

Works great with my new bench and curl bar. Weights as ordered. As usual, great value.

Rubber coating is why I picked these over bare iron, because they get dropped on a concrete floor. No ringing, no chips yet, and the 2 inch collars slid onto my bar without any forcing. They showed up with an oily film that needed a wipe down first, and the rubber gave off a strong tire smell for about a week with the garage door shut.

Just received them and I am very happy. Half the price of most rubber coated plates out there and they seem like they will be very durable but I’ll re post a review after using them for awhile. They do have a little bit of an odor out of the box but it’s brand new rubber. I washed them in dish soap and they are fine. I’m glad I decided to try them!

Great discs.

It does the job

Very good quality/price

Weight is accurate and fit on barbell is good so I'm happy.
