RMR Brands DIY Mold Remover Bundle - Complete Mold Killer & Stain Remover Bundle - Mold and Mildew Prevention Kit, Disinfectant Spray, Includes 2-1 Gallon Bottles

I ordered RMR Brands Complete Mold Killer and Stain Remover Bundle—2-32 ounce sprays because I had a nasty stain on my kitchen wall (see photo). A bag of sugar snap peas had rotted at the top of the trashcan and was evidently touching the wall (don’t judge!). I thought the stain was mold, but as I used these products, I saw that it wasn’t, but rather the dried residue from the rotting peas. Here is what I did:RMR-141 Disinfectant, Fungicide, and Cleaner1. Because I had read in the reviews about the odor of the products, I first opened the patio door and the bedroom window (we have a small apartment). I turned on the exhaust fans in the bathroom and the laundry room, and the ceiling fan in the dining room. I also placed a stand fan in the living room and one in the bedroom, and waited for about 30 minutes for the air to flow well before I started using the products. Turns out RMR-141 has no odor.2. I read the instructions on the purple bottle, that of the RMR-141 Disinfectant, Fungicide, and Cleaner. NOTE: USE THIS PRODUCT FIRST.3. I opened the seal and inserted the provided pump. NOTE: THE PUMP COMES IN THE “SPRAY” POSITION. BE CERTAIN TO SCREW TIGHTLY; EVEN THOUGH I DID, THE PRODUCT POURED OUT OVER MY HAND LATER WHEN I TILTED THE BOTTLE.4. I sprayed the area on the wall thoroughly, starting at the top. The stain began running down the wall immediately.5. I then waited for 10 minutes as per the instructions.6. Wearing glasses, a mask, and gloves, I used a wad of paper towels and made one swipe through the middle of the area so I could see how well the product worked (see photo). I was impressed.7. Then I scrubbed the wall.8. I applied the RMR-141 a 2nd time and immediately scrubbed the wall again with no waiting period. Much more came off the wall.9. I applied the RMR-141 a 3rd time and waited another ten minutes.10. I scrubbed the wall with paper towels again.11. I sprayed the wall with RMR-141 a 4th time and scrubbed (see photo).12. I sprayed a 5th time and scrubbed with a thick crevice brush (see photo). I actually took the paint off down near the baseboard.13. Then I was satisfied I had gotten the wall as clean as I could and I let it dry for an hour.RMR-86 Instant Mold and Mildew Stain Remover1. See #1 above. RMR-86 DOES have a strong odor reminiscent of bleach.2. I read the instructions on the green bottle, that of the RMR-86 Instant Mold and Mildew Stain Remover. NOTE: USE THIS PRODUCT LAST.3. I shook the bottle well, as the directions stated.4. See #3 above.5. Wearing glasses, a mask, and gloves, I sprayed the area on the wall thoroughly, starting at the top.6. I watched for 15 seconds, as per the instructions. There was no change. Keep in mind the stain on my wall was NOT mold or mildew, which is what this product is for.7. I rinsed the wall and floor thoroughly with clear water.8. To avoid the possibility of any sort of chemical reaction or contamination of other items, I put the paper towels and gloves used with each product in separate gallon Ziploc bags before putting them in the trash. Dispose of chemically saturated towels, rags, and gloves responsibly!9. I left my apartment open to the air for two hours.Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. The kitchen wall will still have to be painted eventually, but the performance of RMR-141 was impressive. I can’t speak to the performance of RMR-86, but if the reviews of other buyers are anything to go by, it, too, is an incredible product.At the price point of $23.99, this duo is a good value for the money. Even with the glowing reviews I read before buying, the performance of RMR-141 exceeded my expectations.

My attic had previously undergone mold treatment, but unfortunately, the root cause - improper bath fan ducting - was never resolved. Over time, the mold returned. I confirmed this through agar-agar mold test kits and visible spots on the wood, even through the so-called protective paint applied during the earlier treatment.To make things worse, another company I hired to replace insulation ended up damaging all the baffles. That pushed me to take matters into my own hands. Fully suited up, I reinstalled proper ventilation using smart baffles across almost the entire attic. Once that was done, I moved on to mold treatment, which is my current step.For context, I’m not a contractor - I’m a software engineer with a strong DIY mindset. I began applying RMR-86 earlier today and spent about 1 hour spraying. I covered a bit more than half of the main attic using roughly 1.5 gallons. My attic has 18 baffles per side (22.5" wide, 24" on-center rafters), with shorter 13.5" baffles toward the edges. I also have a smaller attic over the garage with 12 more baffles on each side, about 2/3 the size of the main attic. Based on my estimate, I’ll likely use around 5 gallons total to treat the entire attic space.Once RMR-86 dries (after 24 hours), I plan to follow up with RMR-141 for the antimicrobial layer.Some tips from my experience:- Don’t skimp on PPE. RMR-86 has a strong smell - as expected for something that powerful - but with a proper respirator, it’s manageable. RMR-141 has a much lighter odor in comparison.- Seal all gaps in your suit. I got a few drops of RMR-86 on my wrist where my Tyvek suit and gloves didn’t overlap well. Thankfully, no burns (possibly thanks to sweating), but I’ll be duct-taping that seam moving forward.- Use a bleach-rated sprayer. I used a 1-gallon hand pump sprayer and found it easy to apply. I bought two sprayers - one for each product - this allows me to treat different areas of the attic with both products on the same day without potentially mixing chemicals in the same sprayer.I’ve already treated a small area where I’ll be installing the final baffle and reworking a bathroom fan with both products, and the difference is night and day. I also worried initially about overspray soaking into cellulose insulation, but it turned out to be a minor issue - only a few drops made it through, nothing that concerns me.Bottom line: This product has impressive cleaning power and has worked well for me so far. If you’re tackling attic mold yourself, RMR-86 and RMR-141 are a solid combo - just respect their strength and prep properly.

Amazing product . Very easy to use and instant results . I had few mold stains developing on my shower ceiling . I sprayed the stain remover and within seconds all stains were gone . It also worked on mood stains that never went away from the shower grouts no matter how hard I scrubbed . Just spray and wait for it to disappear. My shower tiles look amazing now . .Turn on the fan and open the windows if possible as the smell is strong .

UPDATE: beware of colour lifting from fabric — i.e. carpet got “bleached” by the products. Should have thought ahead on this one.I recently moved into a rental apartment, which is more affordable for the size, but it has clearly been lived in before. The landlord mentioned that there had been fresh paint applied to the walls, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. There was a significant buildup of cigarette residue, likely from previous tenants who were heavy smokers.I found that a simple wipe-down only addressed the surface dirt, so I decided to use a combo pack of cleaning tools and products that really made a difference. I achieved a much cleaner result, and I believe this solution should be the standard for cleaning such spaces.I truly appreciate how effective this product is, although I did need to wear a mask while using it, as the fumes can be quite strong and irritating to my eyes. If you decide to purchase this cleaning set, I recommend taking the necessary precautions to ensure a smooth experience!Overall;Instantly this made a difference to the walls.
