I used to use the 6 mil white plastic from the big box stores. But this is so much better. It's fairly transparent. It's so strong. It has some stretch to it so it doesn't tear easily. It will hold a lot of weight before breaking. I have it on several canopies where it will actually collect water. I have to keep an eye out and dump the water often as I think the plastic will hold more water weight than the metal pole structure can handle and it might all collapse. I can't afford to get the clear roofing panels people used to put over patios and carports. So I use this instead, over wooden purlins. It makes a great patio roof in conjunction with shade cloth to keep things cooler.

6 mil good uv protection on the plastic it’s holding up well fall thru most of summer it’s been several seasons, I do fold and remove during high summer heat and store out of sun so I can put up shade cloth. July-Sept. 10 foot wide covers my Framed beds with 10 foot pvc arched over my 4 foot by 8 foot beds. A 10 foot by 16 foot sheet covers 4 x 8 bed doubled over the length for winter growing. You can cut the length down but you will need small sheets for end caps during winter but crack them open a bit to let a little air vent to prevent mold growth. Just like a green house you need to vent so I leave an opening at the top of low tunnel for passive cooling and air movement.

Holding up first winter in Tucson. Sheerness factor? Not sure if numerous knicks affect light transmission. I doubt it. I roll off and on raised hooped bed, clipping on pvc pipe hoops. So it gets more beat up. Thickness is good, not flimsy. What I needed. Think guaranteed four years. That’s worth it.

I put this plastic over my greenhouse about 4 months ago and it has held up very nicely. I attached it to the wood via stapler gun and overlapped the plastic so that it didn’t tear easily. It has held up through wind and rain and still going strong. I would recommend it.

This is not as clear as expected, in fact it is almost white-ish. But it has done a good job protecting the plants through the winter.

Used this to create a greenhouse. Worked well.

I'm honestly amazed at the quality of this product. I covered my greenhouse with it last year, and it held up to all kinds of hail storms, snow and heavy rain. The wind finally got to it, but it lasted an entire year. I purchased another one for this season.

Installed on the inside of our green house so far so good. Temperature staying above 0 C so far but the coldest night was only -8C.
