Advantages: larger & easier to hold than standard slotted tools (great for kids, perhaps also helpful for arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc.?), also it grabs the paper & spins it into a tight coil in milliseconds -- simple projects like the ones they show here take mere minutes. It's insane. Super fast; too clunky for detail work though, but great for stuff like this! Use glue though -- the adhesive on the strips that are included is like a practical joke or something.

I bought Spyrosity in a smaller version for my granddaughters. I didn't know what to expect and hoped they would enjoy it. This smaller version had a hand turned tool. They both loved it so I went back to where I bought them and couldn't find more. I went to Amazon and found this larger kit. I haven't used it yet with them, but I trust it will be just as good as the other product from the same maker. Great craft for kids!
