Does the job
Bought for my hubby and is used to help with drawings and sketches which need to be to scale. Does the job OK and together with another scale rule he has all the different scales he is likely to need. Also as it is yellow it stands out against others in the office so is less likely to misplace it.

Good for drawing lines and swatting flies
OK for drawing lines or taking rough dimensions off a scale drawing but this is NOT suitable for an engineer! I find it cluttered and not especially easy to read. However, the real problem is the way it has been graduated, especially on the 1/25 scale. The smallest graduations are 25mm scale and the largest are 500mm. You would expect the intermediates to be every 100mm but they are not, they are every 125mm. What this means is that its tiresome to work out most lengths. For example, if you wanted to measure 3.3 metres, you would expect to count 3 intermediate lines from the 3m mark. However, that is actually 3.375m. I'm a chartered civil engineer who graduated 40 years ago - take it from me, this is not for professional use.
