I had been buying 50 factor children's sunscreen as my horse is a grey with very pink skin and his fur is very thin, so any UV rays cause immediate problems for him. However, I then heard that some horses can be allergic to some of the ingredients in human/children's sun screen. Filtabac is absolutely great - it gives very good coverage so is good value for money. It stays on far longer than any other sun screen I have tried, so although the instructions say to apply more than once a day, I don't have to do this (although my horse does wear a full fly mask every day). As I only found FiltaBac part-way through the summer, my horse had developed pink areas around his eyes and nose even before the hot weather and despite the application of other products, so I have been delighted that having used Filtabac for a few weeks now, his face looks very healthy indeed. I would recommend this product unreservedly. Review: Fantastic one cream for all! - Absolutely fantastic product! I bought this as a barrier cream to protect my horse's pink bits from the sun and biting insects, which he really suffers with. It's the only thing that has ever worked as it really soothes and protects and only needs a thin layer, and actually stays on, so lasts for ages. I wash it off every few days, dry the area and then re-apply. I also use it for any minor cuts or sores. I can imagine it would work really well on mud fever. If you haven't used it before, Filtabac is useful for animal skin issues and sun protection. **Q: Could you please tell me the expiration date from the date of manufacture? Many thanks.** A: Sorry for the delay. I bought the product in June/July 2014 and the expiry date is 9th September 2017. However, I think (as with all creams/ointments etc) that when storing, extremes of temperature should be avoided so that the product doesn't deteriorate unnecessarily. **Q: What is the size of this product? 500g (as in the title), 120g (as in the photo), or 99g (as in the product information)** A: You can choose the size, I think. I bought a a 500g. tub of this product. The photo is as you say a 120g. tube. You need only a small amount for good coverage, so the tube makes it easier to apply with less wastage, but the larger tub is probably best value for money. **Q: The pic that goes with the product appears to be of skipping ropes ????** A: This is an Amazon error as they decide how the listings go onto their site.
