This was the second of these types of games I bought and has been popular with all ages in my family, from 5 to 65 year olds. Hidden object games are kind of like a higher tech version of the jigsaw, a sudoku replacement therapy.This has a nice mix of hidden object screens and mini puzzles to solve. It's not high tech at all but it's strangely compelling and draws the family around you as they all want to join in.It can be annoying when people are reading over your shoulder but it's a testament to the level of entertainment this game and similar ones can give.If you haven't tried any of these types of games, try this as your first and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Challenge to get the highest score

This is a nicely produced hidden object game. It's fairly basic, lacking the animated sequences of output from rival BigFish such as 'Ravenhurst', 'Return to...', 'Hidden Adventures: Devil's Triangle', etc but still has decent sound and graphics. The basic format makes this an ideal game for installation on netbooks and older computers, where more resources-hungry games (such as 'Dire Grove') become difficult/impossible to use despite technical requirements being met.The scoring system is quite generous - especially if you play this strategically. Speed bonuses are granted for multiple objects found within a fairly short space of one another, so it pays to look for several items from your 'to find' list before clicking on any of them, as this will add significantly to your overall score. There is quite a big penalty for using the hint button, so avoid this if you can - but if you DO use it once, you aren't penalised further for additional presses.The game as a whole is a bit repetitive. There aren't many variations on inter-level games (jigsaw, a few different types of pair matching, and spot the difference scenes) and played in normal mode, even though there are additions with each new level, you see the same scenes multiple times over. This does have the advantage of allowing you to develop familiarity with certain scenes and gain speed when object hunting. Collecting scarab beetles during the various levels unlocks a 'hidden' section which allows you access to all of the levels and items hidden in them. There is also a message that appears telling you about using the hint function if you can't find objects. This appears without fail on every level if you don't find at least ONE item early on (annoying anyway, but especially so if you're aiming for a strategic high score!).Overall, this is a nice basic game. It provides good vocabulary practice/extension for children and is an acceptable diversion for adults. Like BigFish HOGs this does, at times, play on homonymous words adding challenge/misdirection to your hunt. High score lists are kept, allowing you to compete against yourself/friends/family.The only thing I truly dislike about this is the bundled adware - which (unless stopped) will clog up disk space and create desktop icons linking you to online and pricey purchasing options for other Popcap games.

A game that after a while becomes rather monotonous. Ideal for younger age group ie under 12's but not so good for older persons. I had tried a trial of this game and enjoyed it but was rather disappointed by the lack of variation when it came to playing all 20 levels. Includes a bonus game when complete but sadly its just the same as the rest of the game. Nothing amazing about this!!!

Easy enough to play

I loved this game as it is on two levels, first you get through the first lot which takes a long time,but then you get another chance to look again to complete the next levels to complete the game, I spent hours doing this game,it is not hard to do, just have to look differently at each picture, good fun if you have the patience,which I do.

your average hidden object game. It plays well and that's all that matters. good value also.
