Hi . I don't know about the '3', but it's described as the Berghaus Men's Gore-Tex Cornice Interactive Jacket. There are two versions, one is short, and one is long. I have only bought the short, but it is sufficient to reach to my finger tip length. The 'long' is more like a coat length.

Q: Can you confirm that the black Cornice IA jacket on sale now is the latest version iii (3)?

I ordered one and it’s a version-3, ironically not as good as the version-2 was to make it cheaper IMO

Q: Does this coat have a middle draw string

Sorta, there is an elasticated 'string' you can pull and fasten a 'buckle' to keep it in place. I don't know the technical terms hence the inverted commas. It's similar to what you have on some hoods. I use mine as a flat raincoat rather than tightening the middle but it has the capability to do so.

Q: I'm normally size l. should i order l ?

Their sizing is generally UK standard, so if you take a Large size then Large should be fine. However...double check their sizing chart and be aware that you might want to wear a fleece underneath in cold weather. If you're un-sure, I would go XL if you are a larger L. Personally, I always like a little more room so I went for the XL even though I can easily fit into a L.
