It plays the beloved Korean folk song 'Arirang' and includes a smooth-opening pull, built-in mirror, and a unique traditional lock with macrame knot. Finished with high-quality lacquer, it blends antique elegance with practical storage, making it a stunning keepsake and conversation piece. ## Description This wooden music box is elegantly embellished with mother of pearl design of a pair of peacock with fully-opened tail delighting in a romantic moment on a tree wrought by the intricate mother of pearl inlaying technique. The elaborate adornment with the iridescence of intricate mother of pearl designs makes it an impressive item for collection. The unique Korean traditional lock and key decorated with Madeup (Korean macrame knots) gives the beautiful panache to this music box. This music box plays the famous Korean folk song, "Arirang." "Arirang" is so popular in Korea that it might be called the national folk song. The words have to do with the longing and weary feeling of having been jilted by a lover. Arirang was sung by ordinary people during their hard times to help them overcome fatigue and anguish. Review: Quality - Very pretty. Review: Absolutely gorgeous - It’s sooo beautiful, everything opens smoothly and securely, the weight is pleasant and indicates real wood, and the finish is silky smooth! Absolutely the prettiest jewelry box I’ve ever seen, my only ”complaint” is that the music is slightly fast. Maybe if they created a little more space between the notes it would have been smoother sounding, but as it is, absolutely worth every dollar, surprised it’s not more expensive! It would have been 3x the price in a store ## Features - Sweet pull attached for easy opening, and mirror fitted inside of the wood Jewelry box. - Individually handcrafted with unique Korean traditional mother of pearl inlay technique that have lasted 1,000 years - Handmade wooden Jewelry box with natural shimmering mother of pearl inlaid in oriental motif followed by good quality lacquer work. - Fine details and elaborate pattern of oriental flowers with modern touch. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Brand | Fun-Store | | Color | Purple | | Material | Wood, mother of pearl, nacre | | Recommended Uses For Product | Watch | | Special Feature | Lock, mother of pearl | | Style | Antique | ## Images ![Nacre Inlay Mother of Pearl Music Jewellery Storage Chest Wooden Box Crane with Pin Tree Design Jewelry Mirror Box Keepsake Treasure Gift Box Trinket Case Organizer (Purple) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ChqBzQQdL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality *by E***S on June 17, 2025* Very pretty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely gorgeous *by N***T on November 30, 2023* It’s sooo beautiful, everything opens smoothly and securely, the weight is pleasant and indicates real wood, and the finish is silky smooth!
