Have gotten this in multiple colors. Freaking love overtone. The reds and blues REALLY give a good color punch. For more vibrancy use it on non conditioned clean dry hair. I leave it on in a clip for about an hour and rinse with cold water. Keep the extra in the shower to mix with my conditioner if it fades a bit which works well. Smells minty and great! Color lasts longer than I expected. Makes hair soft and smell great. With more vibrant colors be careful with wet hair where you apply it, wherever it touches first will be darker than where you spread it so if you are not careful it can look patchy.

I’ve always been scared to dye my hair because it’s very thin. You will shed a little hair, but I haven’t noticed any damage! I was SHOCKED at how vibrant the ruby red was. I’m a dirty blond normally, and the red color is more vibrant in person. The extreme blue was fun too but not as vibrant as the red. The blue lasted me 2-3 washes, will fade more each time. Update: it’s been 2 months with the red (about 10-12 washes). My hair is still auburn red. Lasting wayyyy longer than I thought it would, but still loving it

I bought this for my son who wanted red hair, but I didn’t want it to be permanent. It smells so good, and nourished his hair instead of damaging it. He loved the color and there is enough product to use it another time. It did however stain my bath tub a bit so keep that in mind.

I’ve been using Overtone color masks for four years, and until recently I loved them. The color used to be incredibly shiny, deep, and vibrant, and it always left my hair feeling smooth, nourished, and healthy. The scent was pleasant, the formula was rich, and it felt like a true self-care product. But something has changed—and not for the better. The moment I opened my most recent jar, I knew something was wrong. The smell was completely different: weird, chemical, and unpleasant. The texture was off too—nothing like the creamy, luxurious consistency I was used to. During application, I felt burning on my scalp and even in my eyes, which has never happened before. And after rinsing, the disappointment continued: The color was nowhere near as shiny or deep as before; it barely took. My hair felt dry, rough, and undernourished instead of soft and conditioned. The entire experience was the opposite of what this product used to offer. I’m honestly devastated that such a great product was changed so drastically. Whatever they did to the formula ruined it. As someone who was loyal for years, I HATE what it has become. I won’t be buying it again unless they bring the old formula back.
