My heart broke for Aoife more than for Joey,she did not deserve any of that. I was scared to read Joey’s POV about the stuff happened in binding 13 end and the stuff happened in keeping 13.If you know what happened in the end of Binding 13 you will know Joey was beaten too but to what extent you will know here because Shannon was passed out we did not get it there,I was so curious about Joey because he was not there when Shannon was admitted and now I know why .The revelation doctors made on what joey went through since the day he was born broke my heart for him. I wish Joey fought a little more with his demons for Aoife and his baby,She did not deserve any of the stuff she had to go through because of him and his family. I thought I hated Teddy in first 2 books ,hate is too weak word what I feel towards such filthy creature.Aoife was around his daughters age putting hands on young kid is disgusting.I am glad Joey reacted that way but I wish Aoife thought same way to.Joey went to hellhole after that incident but he should have been there for her she deserved his support but he went on guilt trip and chose clear wrong path. I actually felt pregnancy trope was not needed,i understand the plot where author wanted to tie them stronger in some way but he was already raising his siblings by on his own he did not deserve to have such paranoia about him turning out to be like his father.But did I not love the last 100 pages their trip to hospital how gibsie & Johnny reacted that scene was super funny.How Joey took care of everything was so soothing to read. I wish atleast Marie chose Joey,He deserved the attention and love he craved for which eventually he got from Aoife but he was too deep with his demons by then. I understood Joey’s jealousy about not being enough for Marie a little too well,I hope no one ever gets to feel that it’s the worst kinda feeling ever.Not being enough no matter what you do & then you keep pushing yourself to appease them that you lose yourself in between from where you can’t come back is worst kind of feeling. I loved Edel and John in first 2 books but now I respected them for whatever they did for these kids.Edel is such a sweetheart ♥️. Mad respect for Tadhg for holding that Knife and going to Aoife like a grown up kid(their mother should have done that).I hope in future author decides to write his book too,he’s a hellion. Also Gibsie this guy has my heart,He has such a huge heart that playful guy helped someone he don’t even know ,I can’t wait to read his story. Also Lizzie deserves some spotlight to for the thing she did for Joey,I love her♥️. I so badly wanted to give Darren some reality check that guy was fking infuriating sometimes. This was teenage love and there was some kind of trauma bonding too,In some way I felt Aoife needed metal help too. There were 1000 pages in book but I still felt I wanted to see their life more after rehab and how they handled baby together.
