I just wanted to get the trench into the ground & not get messy. The reality is, you do not really need anything to connect the pieces together.. it fits just fine. Suggestions to manufacture: It is lightweight: meaning.. when I installed it & used a garden hose to test it out, the water flowed over the units & had gone underneath of the entire trench & floated it. I ended up drilling two holes per section & staked it with 12 inch stakes into the ground to hold it into place. This worked fine. Would I buy again or as a gift? It is very heavy duty both the bottom portion and metal drain cover. The slots are large and plenty of them to capture all the water. It connects together very easily on it's own and has the end cap, and an end to connect to a 4" drain pipe. I ordered the extra 4 way connection piece to make a "T". It can do a 3 way or a 4 way connection. Plus it looks very nice and professional. I had questions on the parts and the response time back was within the hour !!! Super Service all around which is why I wanted to write this review and show the pics of the project. It butted up very tightly to the loose rocks, carpet and the pavers. !! Highly recommend this for any drain project.
