kingphenix Wedge Car Seat Cushion, Memory Foam Pad for Driving Comfort

My commute to work is 45 minutes each way and I have tried half a dozen or more different seat pads that are supposed to help prevent sciatica flare up. This one is a keeper. Most were too soft, they focused on ‘comfort’ but with lower back issues- soft is the wrong way to think about the problem. I’ve tried one other wedge design but it was too soft… if this wedge design didn’t work, I was going to just order those beaded seat covers cabbies had in their cab cars back in the eighties. I zeroed in on the wedge design because all of the other seat pad designs tried to replace the whole seat, which would raise my legs up too high. And the edges would start to cut into my thighs after about 15-20 minutes (I’m short, if you’re over 5’4” this probably isn’t something you would notice). Thankfully, with the minimalist design of this particular wedge seat pad I will remain in the 21st century aesthetic. The beveled edges of the pad fit seamlessly against the seat material and the wedge fits perfectly into that annoying gap in the supposedly comfortable bucket seat of my truck. It is soft material but stiff enough to provide support. And raises my backside up just enough to actually use the lumbar support of the seat designed and manufactured for taller people. Of course the sciatica problem is still there lurking, but this simply designed, and almost invisible addition to the seat is keeping it at bay for now. Oh, and the grip material on the bottom of the seat pad work perfectly. I don’t have to readjust it after getting in and out of the vehicle!

It's about what I expected. It is quite a bit of wedge over a fairly short run, which probably works very well for some seats but is a little short for mine. Nothing wrong with the product itself.

Really quite small and didn’t really work for anything I needed that for. Really think before you buy this one. It is very soft and squishy, the quality is very good, but it’s so small and oddly shaped, I’m not really sure what you would use it for. It didn’t work for my back or my butt.

I rarely leave reviews, but I am compelled to do so in this case. My Subaru Crosstrek for some reason has seats where your butt sits kind of low and goes higher towards the front of the seat. So your thighs get a decent amount of pressure. I’ve started developing foot pain in the last six months or so and my doctor says I have plantar fasciitis. I personally suspect since I drive a lot that my seating position isn’t the best and that my lower extremities are not getting the circulation that they need. I’ve only had this cushion for two days so I’ll see how it goes, but I do appreciate sitting higher with thighs more parallel with the ground. I do have a longer legs so that might have something to do with it too. I’ve tried a few different cushions and this one did the trick I wish it was a little less wide so it would fit perfectly but at this point I’m happy to have something that relieves the tension on my thighs.

This thing did the trick. I was sitting so low in the back of the bottom of the seat. I felt too low in the car and after an hour the pressure of the seat lifting on my thighs felt like my hips were coming out of joint. I’d get out of the car and have to walk awhile until they felt right. The cushion is short enough that it doesn’t press on your thighs which is something other wedge cushions do. The fabric seems tough, the foam is dense. The non slip underneath doesn’t completely hold it in place getting in or out but it’s a small inconvenience and to be expected. I was afraid of the contours they advertise but the on thing I notice is the sides help hold you in. It’s the best I’ve found, I’m happy with it.

I often order Cushions due to a health condition & was very disappointed with this one that is advertised for Sciatica and back pain relief. When I sat on the cushion it completely collapsed like the foam was made of tissue paper obviously causing me discomfort. Additionaly the cutout that is shown in the picture for the tail bone is cut out only in the foam and the cloth cover does not have the cutout so the cloth stretches straight across the cutout literally eliminating the cutout for all intents and purposes. This is not a Quality Product whosoever. Additionally the foam is of such poor quality that it came folded up in a small plastic bag. Other cushions I have purchased could never be folded so small because they are better quality.

It saved me on my long road trip. I don't know how it makes my back comfortable but my sciatic pain disappeared after 5-10 min of sitting. I think I was able to travel for so long thanks to this pad. And it's size and weight are comfortable for me.

Solid for the price. More comfortable than i thought it would be. Fits all my vehicle seats perfectly for me. All in all very satisfied

No more does my lower ache from driving long distance with this boost the bottom up!
