Hours of fun
This is a messy activity, but it is a lot of fun and my son has spent hours digging. He gets excited everytime he finds a new object. It's definitely worth the mess.

I dig it!
This was great for my 8 year old son. He’s been into dinosaurs, so he enjoyed digging and chipping away at the clay to find dino parts. He also liked the “raptor claw” necklace that was included.

Super cool twist on dinosaur eggs
My little boy loves dinosaurs. He has dinosaur toys, dinosaur bedsheets, dinosaur everything. He loves going to the museum so that he can do their dinosaur dig. I've had him do the generic dinosaur eggs before, but this is a lot higher quality than those other ones. This is true across the tools, the encasing block, and 100% the figurines that you unearth. The other ones I have tried, are really cheap carnival-quality figures. These actually have heft and could be things you actually buy individually. The downside is that it's only one piece, so the fun doesn't last as long as it could. Still, a fun experience for a long afternoon.

Broken parts
Fun activity for kids but the tail to the triceratops Skeleton easily broke while assembling

Fun to dig horrible to put together
It was a fun dig but some pieces literally will not fit together and I had to hot glue our fossil. It was impossible to build this without it looking crooked with hot glue all over. Some pieces broke off too like the tail and jaw because of the amount of force that is needed to snap the pieces on.
