Atlas Weather Station with Gray High-Definition Display for Temperature, Humidity, Wind Speed, and Wind Direction with Hyperlocal Forecast, Programmable Alerts, and Built-In Barometer (01125M)

I've had Acurite products for close to 20 years. My tabletop forecasters still work and had to replace outside sensor once. I wasn't completely happy with the 5 in 1 device. After multiple support sessions we were never able to connect it to the PC, App or Weather Underground. I used it as a stand-alone and it was fine. After more than a decade on the roof, the Anemometer and Hygrometer had enough and quit. I researched the Atlas device and purchased it as a replacement. At first, I had difficulty connecting it through the PC as recommended. After activating the Wi-Fi on the display unit, I used my Android phone to connect to its Wi-Fi. I entered the IP Address on a browser in my phone and the connection page popped up. Completed page and reconnected to my home Wi-Fi. Voila! Atlas connected to Display, PC App, Phone and Tablets. I would give this device 5 Stars except for the Indoor Temperature and Humidity data does not appear on MyAcurite App. I was expecting that information for when I was away. Update 6/04/2023. Worked great for 3 days and went offline. Wi-Fi full strength, battery level full. No signal from sensor. Nothing was changed or moved. See what support says tomorrow. Update 6/6/2023. Support responded promptly. Replaced brand new lithium batteries with brand new Duracells. Sensor came back online. For 28 hours and went offline. Followed Factory Reset instructions if sensor went offline again. Another set of brand new batteries and reset system. So far so good. If it goes offline again, it's going back. Update 9/07/2023 Customer Support deemed the sensor unit faulty in June because it would drop out and the red light would stop blinking. I had to wait until mid-July until remediated sensors were available, and they sent me a replacement. So far, so good. Had a fluctuating signal strength issue but that was resolved by moving the display unit to a different location. Because of Customer Support, I bumped it up to 5 stars. I'll buy their products again.

I have owned several weather stations over the years, the AcuRite Atlas is the worst piece of garbage I've ever owned. I have to climb a ladder several times a week to reset the station when it loses connectivity. This is not a "one off", it is a known issue with the Atlas that Acurite is aware but refuses to correct. Don't waste your money, you have been warned, it will fail and it will fail a lot. I have given up on it, I need to buy a new weather station, but will not buy an AcuRite again, even if they were the only game in town, what a horrible experience.

I have wanted a PWS (personal weather station) for a very long time. I had researched many over the years and when Acurite came out with the Atlas model I decided to go for it. I like that it has all of the sensors, including the add on (yes extra cost but for Florida, its worth it) lightning detector. It also was highly recommended by Weather Underground, who I use for my local weather. If you're a tech buff you will like that you can hook up your PWS to the internet and it will add your station to the array of stations available to people all over the world. Mine is now reporting weather and conditions to WU and it is added to the overall records for the area. It was super easy to set up, all it required for my installation was an 8-foot heavy-duty galvanized pole to Mount it on, which I got a local home supply store. They recommend that the station be at least 6 feet off the ground to avoid temp interference with the ground. Mine is mounted 7 feet and over grass. When installing it, MAKE SURE TO READ THE DIRECTIONS! Installing the batteries, and removing all of the shipping tape and foam is important. I couldn't figure out why mine was not reporting rainfall until I went back and looked at the installation instructions. I had missed a piece of foam that was blocking the rain gauge from working. Once removed worked great! My error. Batteries are supposed to last a very long time (over a year close to two). he touchscreen display can be shelf-mounted or wall-mounted but does require a plug for power. Setup was super easy and connecting it to my wireless network was a snap. Once on, I signed up with Weather Underground and I was immediately reporting my data to the world! You don't have to do this if you don't want, but I thought it was nice my family could look up the weather right at my house anytime they wanted. If you are looking for an easy to set up, yet really reliable in depth PWS for your use, this is a great one and I have zero complaints so far. I did buy the extended warranty to be on the safe side.
