this series is really good, here is my series review (no spoilers)
I got really engaged into this series recently, but here is my full review of the series (no spoilers)1. what this is based onthis series is about 5 different dragons named the dragonets of destiny. these dragons are supposed to fulfill a prophecy made by morrowseer (a nightwing) who made the prophecy because a war had started. the war started because the sandwing queen named queen oasis had died and people had to choose between the three daughters of queen oasis, blister, blaze, and burn. if you are a dragon fan or fantasy fan, this book/series is PERFECT for you.2. what to expectthis book contains blood, war, fights and love and things that would not be suitable for younger children. every book contains these things so I would say this age range would be 8-9 and up.

Great for my 8 year old
My 8 year old son saw the cover of this book at the book store and never stoped talking about it. After a few days it was clear he was still interested so we decided to give it a try , and wow! He fell in love in the first few pages. It's a loo little challenging for him, but I thunk that's a good thing to make him and even better reader! He isn't ready for the actual books yes so this is a great step.

Got for the kid I nannied for
I nannied for this family and their son showed me this book series. He would always read it during our reading time together and even I would get into the story haha. eventually, when I nannied for another little boy I got this book for him. He wanted to be able to read, his younger sister had already started chapter books. However, because he was deaf he had a hard time understanding sounds even after getting hearing aids. But because these books are like comic books he was able to follow along with the story when I read to him or by himself somewhat. After some work in school, he was able to start reading the series himself and he really liked it. I was so happy to see him developing his reading skills. I think of that family all the time and I hope they are all thriving.I rated this book moderate because it has pictures but some words are challenging for younger ages, 7or 8 (but if you are there with them that is a chance to learn a new word!)

Talking dragons
Interesting concept, but is this appropriate for kids? Slaying dragons, killing them, and snapping dragons necks. It seems a little violent for a kid to read. Definitely pg-13 content in this book.

Awesome
My 9 daughter year old absolutely devoured this book in a matter of days. She hasn't shown much interest in reading up to this point but this graphic novel has ignited her love of reading independently. Upon finishing this book she promptly asked for book number 2 and I gladly obliged. What more could I ask out of a children's book/series.
