I purchased this Pectin because I was making a large quantity of Christmas jam for the holidays I bought several jars of this and it saved me a lot of money instead of buying the individual sure gels. The product worked well My jams set very good I highly recommend this

This is the best pectin out there. It works as expected and is reasonably priced. I use it for making fruit preserves.

This takes 2-3x the amount listed to set. Still a good product for the money but be aware.

I made blueberry, and then rose/pink grape, jam this year for the first time, using a low sugar (no pectin) formula. Since the fruit was already sweet (picked as some fruit was falling) I used even less sugar than the recipe called for, carefully selecting the fruit used, tossing the rest. It took more cooking time but, with a bit of this powder, I had excellent results. At room temp the jam will flow in the jar, firming up when refrigerated. This makes it perfect in the opinion of friends and myself (who doesn't normally eat jelly or jam). It's less sweet and more fruity tasting with no noted flavor from the pectin. The grape jam is especially unique.

I was pretty concerned after reading all the 1 star reviews- they are certainly far fewer than the 5’s but still, it’s good to know what wasn’t liked. Well 5 outa 5 stars for me! Ordered it the day before needed and got it ! Among the 5 star reviews a helpful person suggested 6 tbspn to 1 box of sure jel - that was extremely useful since the directions on this product recommended way more sugar than I prefer. I took a recipe I like and used the 6-1 ratio and I have perfect jam! Can’t wait to try it on my raspberries. Thanks Medley Hills for a low cost alternative.

This product sucks. I put 2 cups packed in my jam of 64 ounce and it did not set at all. And to make things even worse, it has no directions on how to use the product and how much to use per ounces or anything. I had to Google everything very disappointed in side… my diabetic and I do not want to use a lot of sugar and I thought if I bought this, I wouldn’t have to put so much sugar I could use more of the pectin that was not the case totally disappointed I gave it a zero

You have to weigh it because there isn't any measurement on the label. Great product though.
