Made in France Picardie Glass Tumbler Drinking Glasses Set of 6, 12-1/8 oz, Marine Blue

These glasses are the colored drinking glasses you've been looking for. They’re hefty and solid, and they feel weighty in your hand. There are no sharp edges at all anywhere on them, and they feel so smooth. Their shape makes it easy to handle wet, or dry. This is actual colored glass, and not sprayed on. The bottom of the glasses have "Made In France" embossed into the glass.

These are the best design glasses. The size is great because it’s easy to hold even for little hands. The blue color is so nice and they are really good quality for not a lot of money.

This is our 3rd set of Duralex Picardie glasses. We have three different sizes for our family: 8.75 oz, 12.5 oz, 16.5 oz. The smallest size is good for little kids, but maybe too small for others. The "Marine" color is *really* nice. Too bad that they don't make the largest size in that color! (@Duralex, please offer the Marine color in the largest size!) Only one minor gripe that we wouldn't normally buy glasses that are tapered to the bottom, because that makes them a bit top-heavy. Still, the pros heavily outweigh that one con. The glasses are extremely durable, feel nice to the touch, stack well, wash well, and yes, they're hot-beverage friendly.

True blue glass-not a plastic blue cover. Use these every day. Would buy again.

I love these glasses because they're a classic French Cafe design, they nest, they are tempered and can go from ice water to boiled water without even a worry of shattering, are reasonably priced and come in several convenient sizes including a small set which nest in the top of their own water/wine/whatever carafe. The Duralex company is a very old company which perfected the process of glass tempering in France after WWII: if you have a Duralex set from the 1950's they're likely still in one piece to this day, although probably scratched a bit, because these are some of the toughest glasses I've ever used so I finally broke down and put together a set as a gift to our house. I recommend them to any person who likes old school, solid, "approved -by-Martha Stewart-type" kitchen stuff that just works well. It's a good thing. ;-) The Marine color is sharper and bluer than the picture above: the picture does the color no justice. My only complaint is I wish the larger sizes were more widely available in the Marine and Amber colors. my kitchen set are the clear ones (which go with everything) though so it's not a problem, these are the bar set.

Excellent shipping, decent product. Only gripe are the seams around the outside of the glass. I wish they had buffed those off completely. These fit exactly 1 cup when filled to the brim, a bit small but sufficient. The price-per-piece is the same or lower than at the dollar store, but these will last you 10x as long. Worth the purchase. Had these for over a year now, one of the glasses just shattered spontaneously. No heat or other trauma was applied. Perhaps we dropped it at some point and there was a defect in the material.. don't know, pretty scary, but still worth it. A regular glass would have shattered into dangerous shards, these are tempered so the shatter into little cubes that are easy to clean up.

These glasses are replacements for a set that I have had for almost 50 years - every once in a great while one was broken, and I was down to just two left. Since they're the perfect size, I really wanted to get more. The old ones were plain clear glass, so I got blue for the new ones so I could tell them apart at a glance. These are advertised as tempered glass, and I believe it. It took pretty extreme conditions - a long drop onto a tile floor (or in one case onto a ceramic mug) - to break one, and when they broke they shattered into hundreds of pieces, mostly with rounded corners. Usually they would just bounce, with a nice clear ringing sound. The glasses have a really attractive and comfortable shape and feel good in the hand. I have calibrated the amount of liquid needed to take my morning pills - 1/4" from the top of the glass is the perfect amount. They come in many sizes and ordering the correct size took a couple of tries. Since they're described in metric units by most vendors, I had to resort to measuring the exact height and diameter and looking at several vendors until I found one that included those dimensions in their product description. Needless to say, I really love these glasses (especially the blue color, but if you don't like that there are several other colors) and recommend them enthusiastically!

Sturdy glasses that are not overly large. Nice color.

A small glass but perfect for water or juice. The weight is excellent, nice in the hand, and the “Marine Blue” colour is just lovely. Not too heavy a blue, but very pretty with all my blue and white Burleigh china. I will hunt for a larger size for soft drinks, to accompany these. Very happy.

I got really fed up with my previous glasses, which I had spent a lot of money on, constantly breaking in the dishwasher. I took some time to do some research about the best glasses, and learned about Duralex. When I saw these glasses on sale in such a pretty colour, I decided to replace the old glasses and I’m so happy I did. These are the perfect sized glasses, and live up to their reputation of being very difficult to break. I’m very happy with them!
