This product is affordable, effective, and straightforward to use, I highly reccomend it to anyone looking to achieve a long lasting, and low-heat silk press. I have 3c/4a hair, and since deciding to wear my hair straight I needed a way to limit my weekly heat usage so I could avoid heat damage. This treatment delivered, but a good hair care regimen is a must. TO BE CLEAR, I used product as directed, and passed the flat iron over my hair about 3x while applying the product. This gave me elongated curls that were soft in texture and easier to maintain. The treatment does have a smell, but it's not unbearable. I was amazed by the fact that I could walk around on hot and humid days without any frizz or reversion, the best part was that my daily workouts would not ruin my edges. My only complaint is that the keratin washed out of my hair after 6-8 weeks while the packaging suggests 12 weeks. This may be caused by the fact that I wash and deep condition my hair on a weekly basis, but my regimen helps keep my hair health. After 6 weeks of weekly washes, roller sets, and flat ironing at 330 with heat protectant, my hair completely reverted back to it's 3c/4a texture with no visible heat damage. If you are looking for a product that will allow you to wear your hair curly and straight on a back-to-back basis, this treatment may not be the best thing for you. Without keratin, my curls are tight and coily, with the keratin my hair is closer to a 2c-3a texture that I personally would not wear out. CURLY GIRLS, BE AWARE THAT YOUR CURLS WILL LOOK LOOSER WITH THE KERATIN, BUT THEY WILL REVERT AFTER THE KERATIN WASHES OUT. I think the complaints that this product destory's curl patterns are likely coming from people who already had a poor hair care regimen, applied the treatment incorrectly, or use a flat iron set to 450 without heat protectant on a daily basis.

My hair has never been so smooth, silky, and shiny especially after waking up in the morning. The treatment took me about 3-4hrs. If I don’t include my normal routine (showering, drying, flat ironing my hair) the treatment only took an additional 2hrs. The first image is blow dried hair before the treatment. The second image is blow dried hair after the treatment. The third image is what I woke up too. (I flat iron my hair yesterday after blow drying) I was shocked at how flat my hair was this morning. Well worth it especially since my hair typically looks like image 2 after a day with just flat iron. I can’t wait to see how my hair looks air dried. Only complaint is the chemical smell.

I don’t have a before picture of the back of her hair but her hair is pretty puffy/curly. Did as instructed on the box. We didn’t straighten again after we blew dried it the last time and it’s pretty straight. She still has some hair that wants to be wavy but i think even though she’ll have to touch it up with the hair straightener this made it so much easier on her to actually straighten her hair. We only just did it so we will see how well it holds. It definitely made her hair nice and soft.

I bought this product back in Feb 2026 and applied it March 22, 2026. I read through many reviews but didn’t see anybody with my 4a-4c hair write a review. As far as shipping and packaging - everything was as expected. The instructions were in tiny font - I did need my glasses! I don’t recall gloves being included in the box either. 🙄 In reference to the product expectation - it worked! My hair usually swells immediately after flat ironing. With this product, it did not. I noticed after washing the treatment out, my hair dried so easily and I was able to flat iron it so much faster! I did install microlinks immediately after and it blended flawlessly. I am sitting here 3 months later with my hair still blended and resistant to humidity. I did use additional products during my in between flat iron sessions to assist but I’m not sure it was necessary. I took a star because I felt like I nearly lost my life during application!! Idk what’s in the product but as soon as I started applying it, I began coughing. I chalked it up to allergies initially. Once I started flat ironing, the fumes were nearly unbearable. I was about 3/4 finished when I was about to give up but I saw the progress and decided to keep going. Please make sure you are in a well ventilated area. I had the exhaust fan, the bedroom ceiling fan, and a box fan blowing through the bathroom and I was still coughing my head off. It took a couple of days for the smell to fully dissipate. You may ask am I ok. I risked it for the biscuit. I go to the doctor regularly, I’m fine. 😊 I’m not sure I’m willing to do this one again though. Maybe if I were in a garage…possibly..idk. First two pics were with low heat flat iron. I was trying to recover. Last pic with the extensions to show how straight my hair is after a high heat flat iron.

My hair was dry, porosity, voluminous. My hair is basically completely gray and thick. Therefore, I am often coloring my hair which is already thick. I decided to try this product because the one I used before was no longer effective nor other two products that had a good rating but didn’t do anything to my hair, it was time consuming and a wasted. I was becoming frustrated with the idea to go to the salon and spend hundreds of dollars. I decided to try this product. What I first loved about this product is the smell. Is so good not toxic. I couldn’t believe it that was even going to work. I noticed that it took away a bit of the color from my hair that was built up and I loved it. It looks healthier, shinier and less volume. I am definitely buying again and doing my whole family’s hair with this.

Okay I’m rewriting my entire review after about 5 days of having the treatment. 1- it will strip any dye out AND lighten your hair and slightly bleach any towel you use in the process. (Small price to pay, trust) 2- if you have CURLS (not waves, be realistic here) it will not leave your hair air drying perfectly straight. It more than likely will be wavy. I only did 2-3 passes during the straightening part of the process. I have thin strands of hair and didn’t want to fry it off (it says to do 8 passes but adjust for your hair, it even says to on the instructions). I actually love the waves when it’s air dried. In the video with waves, there’s NO styling product (like what?!) it’s so manageable with so much less frizz and it’s actually soft with no product in! I thought this treatment was basically going to strip my hair of its curls to where it air dried stick straight so I had given it 3 stars when I first did the treatment. Just the softness and manageability of my hair now deserves 5 stars. I DEFINITELY will be doing this treatment again in the future. 3- you can dye your hair again without ruining the treatment. I dyed mine back to the color it was with garnier nutrisse ultra crème black box dye 3 days after the treatment and it doesn’t seem to have affected the treatment. 4- If you have some damaged ends you’re worried about, just trim a small amount then do the treatment. I only trimmed .5” when I should have done more and you can’t tell that my ends were even damaged. 5-it did take around 3-4 hours total. I think carefully brushing excess product out with a fine tooth comb before blow drying/straightening helped shorten the time along with fewer passes while straightening. I also only needed one box. Even though my hair is long, my hair is not as thick as it looks when curly. People aren’t exaggerating on the good reviews. I did take the time to comb out the excess product with a fine tooth comb before straightening and then didn’t put the flat iron very high (390). It really didn’t have a bad smell and my hair smells okay after straightening it unlike before. Before, it would have a burnt smell. I spritz some perfume in the air, flip my hair through it, and it smells amazing all day! A lot of people say my curly hair is pretty but they aren’t the ones that had to deal with the rats nest at the end of the day. I now know how to deal with the Texas humidity when I go back! One picture is my natural hair, the video is of it air drying (wavy) and then the morning after sleeping on it straightened. To be able to actually brush my hair is amazing! When I brushed my hair with it straight before, it would still get puffy. This product was a life (and hair) saver!

To be completely honest, I have very wavy hair, and I could never find a product that actually worked to straighten it until I tried this one. I ve used it twice now. The first time, the results lasted about 3 months, and this second time it’s already been 5 months and my hair still looks beautiful I don t even have to blow dry it when I let it air dry, it dries straight and looks amazing. I definitely recommend this product The straightening process can be pretty long if you do it yourself, but it is completely worth it. ❤️

INTRODUZIONE Ho deciso di provare il kit lisciante Kativa dopo aver cercato una soluzione più economica rispetto al salone, dove avrei dovuto spendere circa 150 euro per un trattamento. Avendo i capelli molto mossi, lunghi e difficili da gestire, ero curiosa di vedere se il prodotto avrebbe funzionato. Dopo aver atteso diversi mesi per valutare a fondo i risultati, posso dire che il kit ha superato le aspettative! RISULTATI DOPO IL TRATTAMENTO I miei capelli, ormai diventati indefiniti e ingestibili, hanno ritrovato ordine e struttura. Prima dovevo sempre utilizzare la piastra per tenerli in ordine dopo l’asciugatura, con questi prodotto ho risolto finalmente. L'effetto lisciante è stato immediato e ha resistito per quasi 3 mesi pieni. Ora sono trascorsi 4 mesi e il trattamento ha quasi del tutto perso efficacia, ma intendo ripeterlo presto perché i risultati iniziali sono stati straordinari. PROCEDIMENTO Procedimento: lungo ma non complicato Il procedimento richiede tempo, ma non è affatto complicato. Bisogna seguire attentamente le istruzioni per ottenere un risultato ottimale. Un avvertimento importante riguarda il fumo che si genera durante l’asciugatura dopo l’applicazione della maschera: è davvero tanto e l’odore è piuttosto sgradevole. Ho notato che nella parte posteriore, vicino all’attaccatura, non ho applicato correttamente la maschera, e in quelle zone i capelli sono rimasti leggermente mossi. Meine Ausgangslage: Sehr krauses, lockiges (Typ 3B soweit ich weiß), poröses und trockenes Haar. Ich wollte endlich geschmeidiges Haar, hatte aber Angst vor aggressiven Salon-Behandlungen mit Formaldehyd. Deshalb habe ich mich für Kativa für zu Hause entschieden. Die Anwendung: Die Anleitung ist verständlich, erfordert aber etwas Geduld und gute Belüftung: Tiefenreinigung: Das Shampoo reinigt extrem gründlich. Auftragen & Föhnen: Die Creme riecht angenehm blumig. Beim Trocknen mit dem Föhn entstehen jedoch Dämpfe — am besten bei geöffnetem Fenster oder auf dem Balkon mit Maske arbeiten! WICHTIGER TIPP: Überschüssiges Produkt unbedingt vor dem Föhnen mit einem feinen Kamm auskämmen! Sonst dauert das Trocknen ewig und es qualmt beim Glätten sehr stark. Glätten: Ich habe das Haar strähnchenweise bei 210 °C geglättet. Danach das Haar unbedingt 15 Minuten abkühlen lassen, bevor man es ausspült! Das Ergebnis: Einfach nur WAU! Das Haar ist absolut glatt, geschmeidig und hat ein schönes Eigengewicht. Ein unglaublicher, spiegelähnlicher Glanz („Glass Hair Effect“)! Kein Frizz mehr, selbst bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit. Das Haar sieht extrem gepflegt aus und die Farbe wirkt viel intensiver. Härtetest bestanden: Ich war bereits wenige Tage nach der Behandlung im Pool mit Chlorwasser. Ich habe das Haar vorher mit Leitungswasser nass gemacht, eine Maske aufgetragen und es hochgebunden. Nach dem Waschen und Föhnen von oben nach unten war der perfekte Glanz sofort wieder da! Fazit: Ein fantastisches Produkt, das die Haarstruktur nicht dauerhaft schädigt, sondern sich nach ein paar Monaten sanft auswäscht. Wichtig ist nur, danach ein sulfatfreies Shampoo zu verwenden und das Haar nach dem Waschen immer warm zu föhnen. 10/10 — werde ich definitiv wiederholen!
