Cool flow fan for 2020 HD RGL
I added this to my bike yesterday. The M8's runs hot! To be clear, the switch has 2 positions (on/off). There is No automatic setting. This is fine for me AND the on/off does NOT require any chipping. The front end installation was simple (plug and play). I did not touch the battery or battery cover. I took the seat off and the side bag and cover. Since I did it this way, I modified the connection to the frame as shown in my picture. I ran two "standard" bolts (since it is a Harley! LoL) It is much easier to add the nuts from the frame side. They have you run a metric screw through the frame to the fan mount. Probably okay if I removed the battery but the receiving side mount was not threaded. My way will be much easier if I have to remove it later (in my opinion). I could've used my stock heat shield for the right side but then the fan would've been slightly cocked. I left the original one on the left side. You can't tell the difference. Works well and I'm very happy with results!

Gets the job done
Description states it will replace and or add the same functions as the Harley made fan. It doesn’t plug and play as the system has to be flashed, the quality is barely enough to no stick out too bad. Fan quit working in less than a year. Bar mounted switch looks tacky and out of place compared to other Acc switches

works well
10 minute install, takes about 3 hours to get to it LOL. I do a lot of escorts so slow sped with a lot of stops. This fan pulls a lot of the engine heat down and away, very noticeable difference (it is noisy, a lot of air flow). The HD version will operate automatically which requires BCM mapping, about twice the money when it is all said and done. This fan works for speeds below 50mph with an on/off switch (most of the install time-remove tank & ignition switch to install switch)

Fitment update
The compatibility needs to be updated. Seems they just copied from the Harley site, but there are three types of fans. This one works with 2018 Road Glide Special. I gave 3 stars because of the incorrect compatibility description and it also doesn't have the auto mode. Lastly the installaton instructions needed to be updated because the must still take the bike in to be flashed in order for the fan to work. Other than that my legs are cool.

Engine cooling fan
Looks a little bulky, was not easy to install, but difficult to set up. Fits and works as it should. The instructions were ok could barely see them. The color is black not glossy black and the value was fair. I like the ideal of the own and off switch at my call.

Only worked for two months
I was very hopeful to save money instead of getting the HD brand fan. Worked great for two months but died. I will have to invest in the HD brand now

Better than expected!
I just installed this knock off cool flow fan today and it was better than expected. It fits as it should and uses power from the switch housing. I put mine on the left as I already have a couple of switches using the right side. The left side where the Harley switch goes if you were to buy the authentic CFF. It worked perfectly!I went for a 30 min ride. Bike got up to temp while the fan was off. Hit a stop light and flipped it on! 20 mins later got home, checked the oil temp and it was at 220. My seat would have normally been warm bit it wasn't and the fan did great!I also have luv jugs and ran them both. It was 90 here today and I really enjoyed my ride!Keep the rubber side down!
