Easy to put up and offers decent protection from the sun. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Looks good, but will it stand up to the job?... *by A***T on 4 November 2023* This shade will no doubt be a welcome place of retreat on the beach, for when the sun gets too much and you need a break. I would say this setup is very a much a compromise between portability, and durability. It needs to be light enough to hoof over your shoulder for the trek to the beach, and strong enough to do the job. The shade certainly passes the first test... it's very light with everything bundled together in the bag. Durability-wise however, I do have some doubts. The material is very thin/lightweight stuff, and I do wonder how it will stand up to wear and tear once any wind picks up. If you've come across those 'emergency raincoats' that roll up to nothing and which you can keep in your pocket... it's very much like that sort of shiny, light material. All the parts (main shade, sandbags, and the carry-case itself) are made from the same stuff, single-ply silver-backed polyester. I can't help but think that you're either going to be pleasantly surprised (if you take the advertised specs as gospel) at how well it stands up to the elements (mainly wind in this case), or bitterly disappointed if the thing comes apart after a few uses. The latter point also comes down to the price of this kit in the first place, which at time of review is £80 all but 10p. I do find the price VERY high for what it is... regardless if it does indeed perform as claimed.
