Bought this jug a year ago. I work in a hot manufacturing plant in Texas where temps inside during the summer exceed 100°, and I work 12 hour shifts. Having COLD water to drink is a life saver, this jug has been my best friend during the opressive heat. I put about a cup or so of ice cubes in it before topping it off with water before I go to work and there's still ice left when I clock out even if I have to add another bottle or two of water to it through my shift to make it through. When you're working inan 109° environment, you drink a LOT of water. My job is dirty so the folding spout and straw aren't used, the screw on cap keeps that port clean to drink from. The handles are robust, after a year of abuse they've held up. It's hung on a forklift bouncing over gravel substrate with the hook, been dropped many times onto concrete from at least 4ft. No dents, no leaks, but the plastic does have some scuffs from battle damage.

I felt compelled to write this because my experience with the seal quality. I filled it with a gallon of water and ice, but decided not to use it that day. It couldn’t fit it in my fridge standing up, so I decided to lay it on its side and check it in an hour to see if it leaked. Forgot about it, and next morning, still completely dry! Honestly that alone is 5 stars. It’s like 3 turns for the lid so it might not feel secure, but I can vouch for its performance and it makes it all that much easier to use. Other things like keeping water cold and size are fine for my use case, which is just around the house. It’s heavy full but I guess that’s the point. Great value for the cost.

If you're trying to drink a gallon of water a day, a large insulated jug like this makes it much easier than constantly refilling smaller bottles. This Hydraful jug is built extremely well. The stainless steel construction feels durable and the insulation actually works — my water stayed cold for most of the day with ice still left in the evening. The handle is comfortable enough to carry even when the jug is completely full, which is important because a full gallon gets heavy. The lid seals well and I haven't had any leaking issues when transporting it to the gym. I really like this water jug! It’s sturdy, spacious, and the handle makes it easy to carry. The material feels durable and the lid fits securely. It’s perfect for keeping plenty of water on hand throughout the day. Definitely a great purchase!

I’ve bought this before only once last summer, it was great and kept my water pretty cool all day. I work outside so it definitely came in handy, and yeah it’s heavy but I don’t mind, I do have one issue with it though. The only issue is just don’t drop it on pavement, I went to get a drink and dropped it for my truck floor and it just kinda busted and started leaking. I’m going to buy a new one so I can have it ready for the upcoming summer. And keep in mind I could have bought another brand but genuinely I like the style and most importantly you throw some ice and water in it and you’ll be good till the sun goes down.

This drug is amazing has a very sturdy metal handle on it it holds ice and then the water that it keeps cold all day long and still has ice in it when my son gets home. I am buying a second one for him. The drug does not sweat which is a huge plus when he's working in a cabinet shop and can't have water dripping on any wood.

Definitely worth it. Keeps drinks cold the lid having a straw and pour spout are great. It is a little heavy though to hold that much liquid and not break it has to be built sturdy.

I would give it five stars but the gasket doesn’t hold very well after a few weeks and leaks when sideways just a little. just needs a little bit of a thicker gasket

So i would rate this bottle a 7 out of 10. it does what it says but there are a few things that could be improved. First the cooling is excellent, i put some ice in the bottle and left it for 24 hours and only the smallest amount had melted. i dont use it for hot drinks so i can't comment on that. The large opening makes it easy to fill, unlike some smaller water bottles you dont have ice jamming at the top. the straw and chug opening work fine and you can ecen use the chug opening to fill the bottle if needed. The handle is nice and large and is feels stable when using it. but trying to drink using the straw you have to put the handle either to yur chest or hold it on the other side. Onto the stuff i think could be better. The construction of the bottle feels solid but when you look you can see small gaps between the pieces. for day to day use this wont matter but when you arre washing the bottle water does fill in these crevices, this is especisally true around the handled. i asked around and some pople have recomended using food safe silicon or resin with an injector kit to fill the gaps. The worst area for this is around the handle. The Chug lid has to be done as tight as possible or water leaks out, only a small amount but there is a leak. Lastly this bottle is not a full gallon. A full gallon is 3.78 litres, I filled the bottle to the very top and it took about 3.4 litres instead so just shy of 500 ml. Overall i would say this bottle is still a good purchase based on the insulation, the straw lid and the price point. it easier to use and significantly cheaper than other bigger brands like the yeti rambler.
