Don’t Pay To Be A Brand Snob
Firstly the bad news for me; phone reception is not as good as my iPhone 5 in the poor signal area where I am at present using the same provider. Fortunately I bought it for camera and video primarily, and on those points it is superb in comparison. Colour and contrast are all I need for my work.Plus, the screen quality is excellent - colour and resolution is comparable in my eyes, literally, up there with Samsung’s recent models.Speaker quality is lacking - rather tinny for those not using headphones, but I do use them.Battery life is all day at present, a treat for me after the iphone 5.For £89, and I think one can find it cheaper with a bit of searching maybe, I find it hard to justify paying premium brand prices - at least 4 x the cost for effectively the same thing.

It works, but I couldn't recommend it to my friends
Personally, I find this phone is good as a temporary solution. This is the second phone I bought, and I must admit it will be my last. My experience with this brand has been disappointing especially when the first phone froze and was sent for repair, I never got it back.

Good value
Basically a budget Google Pixel type phone. Nice that it doesn't come with 10 tons of bloatware that you can't get rid of. Well made, pretty quick and a nice bright screen. However... Buyer beware - if you want to use this phone as a contactless payment device RUN! For some reason that I will never fathom, it doesn't ship with NFC, so Google Pay won't work. I've decided to keep it, as it's not a major problem for me and I like it othewise, but it might have put me off when I was choosing, if it had been pointed out.

A solid performing phone - recommended
After hours of Googling affordable android phones (and two duff purchases) I decided to go with this model. It feels solid and comfortable in your hand, although the supplied plastic case looks a bit cheapo in appearance. Boot up up time is reasonably quick and there is hardly any bloatware at all - a good start. The screen is sharp and responsive, especially when scrolling or texting. Videos and photos look good too. Its 5.7 inch screen fits better in your hand than the vast array of 6+ inch plus models. The default network setting is 4G and it does not seem to have more strain on the battery at this setting, unlike other android models.Call quality is good, as is wi-fi and bluetooth - no problems with connecting to router or devices. I set up screen mirroring on my Sony smart TV without a hitch, so you can view your photos or videos on a large screen if you want. All in all the Umidigi A3X is worth the money and the overall feel and performance is better than many higher priced mobile phones. For better protection I ordered the Emartbuy Black/Black Premium PU Leather Slide in Pouch Case (Size SA4) which fits it perfectly. Definitely worth buying.

Easy Phone to Use and set up.
Received my phone next day from ordering. Very easy to set up and use. Only slight problem I had was insertingthe sim and SD Card, I found it rather tricky, but got there in the end. Lovely phone to navigate around, so easy. There is probably lots of things I can do but not yet discovered. I was a little concerned buying this phone with it being such a reasonable price but once I got it up and running I found it to be a very good phone for the price. The photo images are not really up to spec of my digital camera but what can you expect for a cheaper phone. I just use my phone for calls, checking emails when away from home and just general use, not into gaming so cannot comment on that side. Would I recommend this phone - YES.

Broke after 8 months
Was great at the start, but stopped working properly after 8 months. Phone kept cycling between the 'charging' and 'no longer charging' cycles every few seconds, even though it wasn't plugged in. Only solution was to leave it permanently plugged in.Umidigi Customer Support were awkward to deal with and only offered a refund of 50% of the phone's value, even though it was sold with a 12 month warranty. Eventually Amazon CS offered a full refund.Phone was well treated and had not suffered any sort of water damage or hard knock.I would avoid this manufacturer.
