Sulina Shop Hemi-Squalane Facial Oil, Fast-Absorbing Moisture, 1 Fl Oz

This is the most lightweight moisturizing oil I’ve ever found. The “water” description just didn’t make sense until I tried it for myself. Will buy again and again!!

Tried this lightweight (and nicely packaged) oil on both damp skin and dry skin (and after my usual exfoliation while in the shower), followed with my usual body lotion. Did not make a bit of difference. So I went back to using my usual body lotion on damp skin following my shower, and my skin was better moisturized using just body lotion. As most oils don't easily absorb into the skin, I haven't had luck with other body oils either, but I thought this might work better due to its light weight. Sadly, not. Didn't even work well to moisturize my cuticles. But I'll use it as a lightweight hair oil to add shine to my hair without making it greasy. The oil absorption issue isn't just with this product; dermatologists recommended that oil/emollient application be followed up with a water-based, hydrating lotion/moisturizer to help with better absorption, but in my case, following the oil application with lotion didn't result in any added benefit. I also tried mixing a bit of the oil in my palms with my body lotion, and applying it that way, but that didn't improve matters either. A note on the top of the stopper: it's made with a super slippery rubber-like material, and at first I thought the bottle might have leaked because the stopper top was so slick it kept slipping out of my fingers. So I wiped it with a bit of vinegar on a tissue to get rid of any oil, but it turns out there wasn't any oil on it -- it's just a very weirdly slippery material. So be careful if you pick up the bottle by the stopper top.

I had high hopes for the Pure Hemi Squalane Oil for Face, Body, and Hair, but unfortunately this was a huge letdown for me. I purchased it specifically to use on my face, expecting something moisturizing and nourishing. Instead, it felt surprisingly drying. It didn’t give that smooth, hydrated, supple feeling you’d expect from an oil. If anything, it felt like it just sat on my skin without actually adding moisture. The texture was the most disappointing part — it almost felt like rubbing something powdery onto my skin rather than a silky oil. My skin didn’t feel soft or hydrated afterward, just tight and uncomfortable. I know skincare can be personal, but for me this was awful and definitely not what I was expecting from a squalane product. I won’t be repurchasing

I understand the concept of Hemi-Squalane oil, but I’m confused about its texture. It feels so dry that it's almost impossible to rub across the skin; there is no slip at all, making it feel like I’m rubbing powder on my skin. Unfortunately, I'm uncertain if it was the oil or my other products, but this resulted in pilling. I was looking forward to using the Hemi-Squalane derived from sugar because I suffer from fungal acne, but it has been challenging to incorporate this oil into my skincare routine.
