Artist Colors, Fluid Acrylics, 10-Color Mixing Set

As a painter who favoured oil for over 20 years (and hated acrylics), I was very surprised to find myself in love with this line of soft acrylic paint by Golden. They are so highly pigmented, that it is a pleasure to mix. The consistency is just right if you do not want texture or brushstrokes, just even color. You can achieve good coverage with just one layer. I haven't tried the heavy body yet, or the open acrylics, but I can see why people fall in love with Golden.

Lovely quality paint, and a very different experience to using tubes, although each has their uses. The mixing set is a really good way of trying out fluid acrylics if you haven't used them before.

The top of the fluid inside had dried into a hard top. Once broken I could use the rest. I would not expect this unless it had been around quite a long time

I got these on sale, they were a great deal. Colors are vibrant and I used them on two different mediums: canvas and vinyl (reborn dolls). They are shiny on the vinyl so matte sealer and/or varnish is necessary depending on the look you want. They are very easy to blend and make new colors, for example flesh tones. I use a flow medium with them.

I use these for painting needlepoint canvas. The colors are SO vibrant and easy to mix. The self leveling makes it so much easier to put out a quality canvas.

Habe die Golden Fluid Acrylics meiner Freundin geschenkt. Sie fand sie in Ordnung – die Farben sind gut, aber sie hatte sich etwas mehr Deckkraft und Leuchtkraft erwartet. Für den Preis hätte sie mehr erwartet.
