I’ve struggled with hot spots in my house for a long time—even with the AC running constantly, some rooms just wouldn't cool down. I have to admit, I was initially skeptical. I wasn't sure if these fans would actually make a difference, how effective they would be at lowering the temperature, or how durable the motors would be over time. I decided to take the plunge and bought three units for my bedrooms and living room, and I am pleasantly surprised! The register booster installed easy. I did read the manual but honestly it came ready to plug and play in two minutes. The on and off temps were easy to set and it has a feature to work in cold only (summer) or heat only (winter). It also has a speed adjustment which I like. The box is in our living room and although the 10 provides good airflow I find that the 5 setting still makes a difference but is quiet enough that it does not disturb our tv viewing. It fit perfectly in my vent and worked right out of the box. The thing with a register booster is that it does need to plug into the wall to operate so you have a cord that runs from the register to the baseboard and up to the socket. It's best if your register is near a wall that has a socket although it is low voltage so it's not like your extension cord needed to be a special guage.

Waited over a week to make sure I liked it! What can I say? For background I’m in a very hot and humid climate during the summer and my upstairs bedroom is more similar to a jungle than to anything. But I can’t keep pumping my AC down; my basement is already equivalent to a kitchen walk in and my bank account can’t handle much more. So this vent was sort of a Hail Mary. It works exactly as I need it to. It’s not a miracle worker; but it’s darn good. It has lowered the temp of my room in comparison to the rest of upstairs which is exactly what I needed. It’s not quite as cool as my lower floors but it is making sleeping a lot easier. I’m able to use a blanket at night again thanks to this vent. It works very simply; setup took only a few minutes just had to unscrew the old vent and screw this one in, and made sure there’s a plug close enough. It can do both cooling and heating and I will be sure to try the heating in the winter as I have the same issue of my upstairs not conforming to the temp of the rest of the house. The fan is pretty quiet, I have it on a 7 but it goes up to 10, which I may need as we march towards a hot July. I’d say on 5 or lower it’s so quiet you barely notice, on 7+ you notice but it’s still about the same noise as a regular fan so no big deal for me. And it’s easy to adjust with the included remote. AND it looks nicer than a normal vent cover. Overall can’t recommend this enough, it’s been a huge help in my ability to sleep soundly and comfortably at night and actually be able to BE in my room on hot days.

This helped cool off our upstairs bedrooms significantly. Definitely a good buy with the only complaint being there were very poor instructions on how to operate it. Once we figured it out we’ve been thrilled.

Works like a charm! Our bedroom went from the hottest room in the house to nice and cold. Improved the airflow from the register in the room. The system auto turns on or off with the homes a/c which is nice. It remembers the last speed settings/ temp settings. It is not very loud, more like a low hum. Much quieter than a box fan.

We bought an old house (built in 1900) with central air added by previous owners during renovations. The second floor bedrooms stay warm in the winter, but it was hard to get the AC to sufficiently cool the upper floor bedrooms in the spring and summer. I got this to replace the bedroom floor vent, to push more cool air into the room from the existing central air duct and it works AMAZINGLY. It feels like we have a window unit in the room. The fans blow very effectively and the programming makes sure it’s not always running. You set the temperature threshold based on the air coming from the vent (not the room temp) and when it reaches that temp the fan kicks on. This works for cooling and heating depending on the season. In the summer I set it to 68F and if the air coming from the vent is below 68F the fan kicks on. In the winter I set it to 70F and as long as the heat coming from the duct is warmer than 70F the fan kicks on. Outside of those settings, the system does not kick on. Simple and easy to program, it’s definitely a game changer for us! Worth every penny! I would highly recommend this if you have less than efficient vents in a room.

Great boost for the AC in hot rooms during the summer. The fan is a bit noisy, but it's good for white noise.

I like the vent and the option for automatically turning the fans on, but I've noticed that the fans turns on and off, on and off several times after some time that the AC is off. That's a little annoying. But besides that, the vent works great, it helps the cold air to reach my room.

I was truly amazed how well this register worked. It did an excellent job helping to heat a very cold mud room in the winter. Recently I moved it to our bedroom during a heat spell with high humidity. The circulation in our forced air furnace which our heat pump is connected to isn’t great. Our bedroom was very warm. This register help to cool off the room very quickly. It was like a different room after the register ran for a short period of time. The manual was simple and clear and the message was if you have any issues at all contact us immediately! I would buy again.

I have grown to love these... if you want a little boost, you can get them down to quite quiet, if you need to pull more air it can do that too, and still quite manageable. I like how it turns on and off when the a/c or heat is on! The casing is attractive, and the display turns off when you're not using it (so no extra light in the room when trying to sleep).
