Bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas. He loved it! I bought several other of the Knights too. He uses them all the time to wage battles and wars. In the past, I had bought some less expensive ones, but they would break. These all have remained intact for a year now. The amazing thing with these pieces is the extraordinary detail on them. They are very ornate. I love these guys and will keep for any possible grandchildren in the future.

As with most all of Papo's figurines the detail & paint job are top notch! This king is on a scale that is compatable with the other Papo knight's as well as most Safari & Schliech figures. The king is carrying what can best be described as a mace of proclamation, it is a golden shaft with a hand pointing the index finger at whom ever the king decides to point it at. The king stands 3.75 inches tall to the peak of his crown & is wearing a combination of plate & chain mail under his stately robes & cloak. He also has a broad sword at his side incase he wants to deal out a more severe punishment than crowning you with the fickeled finger of fate mace.

Papo makes some great figures and our kids love them. They've been collecting them for a few years, only gathering about a dozen, due to the cost of these retail, even with sales. However, here on Amazon, we've managed to get them for half (or less) of the retail costs, and bought a bunch of these for the kids' birthdays. Each figure is amazingly detailed and well made. They pose them in massive battles or just arrange them on their furniture for display. Either way, the figures are fantastic. I've written this same review for each of the figures that we've purchased. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. These will last for years to come.

Don't care for Papo quality in comparison to the Schleich, but... We had to choose from whatever was available to us at a reasonable price. This king fit the bill and will serve his purpose. Son is pleased and that's all that really matters.

I collect many of the Papo fantasy figurines because they have excellent detail. Each toy is a work of art beautiful enough to put on a shelf for display. Each figurine has detailed and realistic features in their clothing, hair and facial features. The size is just right for a child to grasp and play with. I love these collectable toys! The king's hand held out matches perfectly to the queen so they can "hold hands."

Great detail but out of the two that I ordered, one staff was broken and the other is very wobbly. Not made to be played with by young children due to the instability of the tip of the staff.

I purchased the collection of these Papo figurines to place on world maps while teaching my children about early explorers. It made learning very interesting for them. They really are beautiful pieces as well, to pass down through generations and keep the learning going.

This was exactly what I was looking for. My nephew wanted a “King wearing a crown” for his birthday cake this year, and since making an actual king and crown out of cake was out of my cake-baking skills, I found this to put on top of the cake instead! My nephew loved the cake and as a bonus he gets to keep this wonderful figure.

Wir haben die Figur für ein Schulprojekt Märchen in der Box gebraucht. Der König sieht genau so aus wie auf dem Bild. Und von den Proportionen ist es leicht alles andere darauf abzustimmen.

Beautifully made toy knights. This one is great, I purchased along with the armored knight and my kids think its King Arthur at court and then when he's at battle! Kids love these toys, really well made,. Great for the imagination and introducing the Legends of King Arthur or Medieval History to children. Thank You!

De fraaie figuren van Papo zijn een must voor mij als bouwer van houten speelgoedkastelen.

Un joli cadeau pour les enfants curieux: toute la série des chevaliers, rois, archers etc et même des reines; les figurines sont très bien faites, jusque dans le moindre détail, et c'est une belle ouverture vers la découverte de l'histoire. A séduit un petit garçon de 5 ans, et le petit frère de 2 ans1/2 raffole de ses chevaliers!
