I consider this one of the best kitchen items I've ever purchased. I steam veggies all the time, and have been frustrated with all the "lotus style" stainless steel ones I've used for decades. Those always break, and are very awkward to use and remove from the pot - and veggies always fall into the water. This Caraway steamer fits perfectly on top of my 8 quart Caphalon stainless steel stock pot with the lid on top. Steaming is a breeze. It lifts out easily to allow me to pour out the remaining water. Super easy to clean. And best of all, it's non-toxic. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but it's well worth it. Very happy I made this investment. No more cursing!

Wow. This steamer is built as nicely as the Caraway Stainless Steel 6.5 qt Dutch Oven. The fit and finish are quite nice. Perhaps the steamer is overbuilt, but who cares about that when it is such a joy to cook with. I'm not sure about the interior coating...time will tell. I had hoped for just stainless steel, but that was not an option. Caraway clearly states the coating is safe and free of PFOS and PFAS, which is good. Hopefully there isn't something else lurking in that coating and we find out later.

This thing is a champ! I accidentally burned the bottom of it and it came off beautifully. Just alittle soak and bam it was gone. I love this brand. Worth the money.
