Doctors are always telling you "make an appointment ($$$) or just take the stitches out yourself". These stitch removers work perfectly and save you an office visit! I can't stress enough to removed them when the doctors tells you because stitches are MUCH harder to remove if you let them stay in too long! Well designed and made. Painless stitch removal!

Just what I needed to take stitches out, works great

The tip had a piece of metal overhang that was very sharp. The tip of the scissors are very sharp themselves. Suture scissors only need to be sharp in the part that actually cuts. Grinded off the extra piece with a Dremel, also dulled the tip making it smooth, and they’re perfect now.

I'm perplexed by some of the negative reviews and I'm glad I paid them no mind. I had about an inch long cut on my upper lip for which I received 4 sutures. These scissors along with some tweezers made removal extremely easy even for such a delicate, more intricate spot. The hook works very well and the sharpness and length is more than adequate.

I thought this would be like my last one. It is not as small, not as sharp, and seems to catch a little as you cut.

Like these scissors; use them for work, as described.
