I purchased these to cut the calcium residue when I wash my Harley. I put them in line (2, together). They help...not perfect...but they help.

Since using this filter my misters are not clogging. We have hard water and this definitely helps.

This is actually a general purpose drinking water filter (typically used for an RV water supply). It has multiple filtration layers (see attached image), only one of which is for calcium reduction. Most of the similar filters on Amazon show the same components. The only filter I've found that fits a garden hose and *is* specifically for calcium reduction is the Orbit 10109W, but the specs don't state anything about its calcium removal capacity, unlike the large 10" filters that fit standard filter housings (and are a better value in the long run).

I bought this for patio misters that I installed. My water is fairly hard. Kept the misters running all summer!

I have a large irrigation system for my garden and I wanted to add misters to my greenhouse section. If you install these at the beginning of the line it will decrease the flow of the whole system. I ended up only installing at the end of the line and used one of those plastic 3/4 stand up misters and worked good for that situation. As for my 1/8 misters I still haven’t found a solution but they don’t seem to get clogged up too fast without it

The fitting end that attaches to the hose is too short, an additional washer is needed to make the seal work. It should be supplied or the size noted for the user to buy
