Lives up to the Vortex name
I have two other Vortex scopes (Strike Eagle on my AR-15 and a Viper 6.5-20 on a 6.5 Swede) and have become a fan of Vortex optics. I bought this one to go on an Aero M5 in 6.5 CM for some long-range plinking.First and foremost, the glass is exceptional. I've only been out to a 500m range with it so far, but the 12" target at 500 was crystal clear (aside from some heat waves, of course). A shooter in the lane next to mine fired while I was lining-up my shot, and I could see his bullet wake. The reticle is crisp, clear, and seems to be very accurate. With the rifle zeroed at 200m, I fired a holdover shot out to 500m to test this, and was right on target. Having the fiber-optic indicator for 18x (where the subtensions are set to be accurate) is a nice touch. This is my first second focal plane reticle, so I'm still getting used to that, but it's a nice option for long-range since a first focal plane reticle might easily cover your entire target from view. The turrets are well constructed with clearly visible markings. Adjustments are easy to make and the CRS zero stop is very helpful. I have mine zeroed at 200m, then adjust it for 300/400/500+. That zero stop makes it absolutely simple to get back down to the 200m zero accurately every time without having to write down your zero elevation... or remember it. Something I notice every time I make an adjustment is that the grooves on the turrets are milled sharp. It doesn't take a lot of effort to turn the turrets, so it's not like you'll cut yourself on them, but personally I think they should have been smoothed a bit.One thing to note about the turrets is that there is only 65 MOA of travel. This really is not an issue if you'll be hunting or target shooting out to 200-300m (or yards), but to go any further than that you'll need at least a 20 MOA offset (rings or base). I'm currently using a 20 MOA mount and I have plenty of elevation to go to 500m and beyond (doubtful it will adjust out to 800 or 1000, though, without another 20 MOA). This really isn't a negative for this scope... most every scope out there is going to need a 20 MOA (or larger) rings/base for long-range shooting. The finish on the scope is like any other Vortex scope -very nice, and very durable. This particular scope doesn't take any kind of beating, but my other Vortex scopes most certainly do and I can say that the finish is outstanding. The Vortex scope on my hunting rifle has been laid down on rocks, bumped against every kind of tree/branch you can imagine, and been splashed with mud numerous times and it still looks brand new. The Vortex scope on my AR-15 has been bumped and banged more times than I like to admit, and it still looks perfect too. Side note: I've never had either of these scopes go off zero due to being bumped around, either.Lastly, but not least of all... Vortex customer service is beyond amazing. I broke one of the flip-up caps that came with my Strike Eagle and called to get a new one. They were very helpful and friendly, and sent me a new cap right away... and wouldn't even let me pay for it, even after I told them it was my own fault it broke and was more than willing to pay.

Very nice scope HS-T 6-24X50mm
I have a Viper HS-T 4-16X44MM on my WBY .243 win, coyote rifle that I installed 1 year ago and I love it. So much so that I purchased the HS-T 6-24X50MM and installed it on my new WBY 6.5 PRC with Warne Mountain Tech's 20 moa rail and 30mm low rings. Everything about the scope is quality and well worth the money spent, excellent warranty and I highly recommend this scope and Vortex products. Lifetime Vortex customer.👌

Best Buy
I own many riflescopes of different brands. For target or varmit work this scope offers a great value. Resettable turrets by hand, fine crosshairs and reasonable weight make this work well including long range work. The click adjustments allow repeatability during load development. This is a second focal plane scope. I currently have two of these, one on a custom .243 and the other on a Remington 300 ultra mag. The heavy recoil of the ultramag does not seem to bother the optics which remain crisp even at 24x. I can see the bullet holes without my spotting scope out to 200 yards. While I like the fine crosshairs for this application, they are too fine for hunting in foliage. I have used this scope on a 6.5 creedmore AR10 for accuracy tests. There is a lifetime warranty, no questions asked although I doubt I will ever use it.
